If I could give them less than a one star, I would! This was the worst experience for my family concerning my mom, her oxygen and her health. If you have family in this place be an advocate, come often and make the nursing side do their job concerning your loved one. On a brighter note, the Physical Therapy Department was their saving grace, they were very good!

My cousin died following a short, brutal, stay here. After days of being denied necessary medication and dialysis (they haven't figured out prescriptions and weekends), he was transferred to a local hospital at 3 in the morning. No one was notified (despite being documented health advocates). Upon being asked in person about my cousin's location the staff (a social worker and some rude administrators) had no clue where he was. An admin's excuse was "I have too many patients" so the only option was to personally call around local hospitals to try and find him. Turns out there was a John Doe matching his description at Halifax Hospital. Somehow they got him into an ER anonymously! He died there later that night. This facility is a nightmare, from the top down. Read the reviews for employees. Read the other reviews by unfortunate loved ones and patients. I thought they were an exaggeration, but the truth is even worse.

To start with the case worker (Erin) called and wanted to know why we didn’t choose their facility after initially choosing it and then changing our mind because of the bad reviews. She talked us into choosing her facility saying that there was new staff and management and that things had turned around. She lied. It’s awful. If I could give it a zero rating, I would. I have a loved one who has acquired a stage 2 skin ulcer since being in the facility and does not get daily would care. The issues are too long to list. Stay away from this facility. They do not listen to your concerns.
