6 hour wait through the ER for a consult for swollen eye, and meds. The costs are exorbitant. Not pleased

I would be giving zero stars but it won’t let me post unless there is at least one star! My dog was diagnosed with cancer and I was referred to the oncologist at VMCLI. I called to make an appt., waited on hold for 4 HOURS!!! Just to finally get through for someone to answer and say that I will be called back to set up an appointment. Nobody ever called me back and I called daily, multiple times a day! My vet even called and emailed numerous times and we even tried to go through the emergency line. After a week of nobody returning my calls, I finally reached one helpful receptionist who actually made me an appt. She said she can’t believe that someone didn’t just make the appointment in the first place. The appointment was a month away even though it was noted that my dog’s cancer was very aggressive. (I was still thankful to this one receptionist for trying to get us in and understood that it wasn’t her fault). My dog was totally fine and we incidentally found out about his cancer in a routine checkup which led to a biopsy. He declined very quickly and in less than a month he lost his battle. If someone would have had the decency to call me back when I first called or helped me make an appt like this lady did, maybe we could’ve been able to get him in for the surgery that was needed to remove this type of cancer and maybe he would’ve had a chance to still be here today. But instead, my children have lost their best friend and our family is heartbroken. VMCLI needs to do better!!!

Brought in my 8 year old ferret who was lethargic and not eating. Front end staff was great and friendly. We filled out our paperwork and even though they said it could be a 4 hour wait, we were seen pretty quickly. The technician took Alivya to the back and they managed to get some blood for a BG test. Alivya is notorious for being difficult for bloodwork and even a bit spicy. They took great care of her and addressed her needs. We went home with medication and they told us if she still isn't herself to bring her back. Happy to report she is doing very well and we have the staff at VMCLI to thank with all of our hearts.

I had a horrible experience with them in February. I thought they were an "emergency hospital" which they are not but they charge as if they are. I'd like to talk to you about them because I am furious and quite bewildered as to what actual treatment did my dog get for $2100. He was there less than 15 hours and died there of cardiac arrest. $300 for CPR. Criminal to take advantage of people at their most vulnerable
$126 for them to lift a finger. Find another place. It's a money factory.
Thank you...the reviews on this place scared me so much that I cancelled and made an appointment elsewhere
Don’t even waste you’re time they’re q bunch of money hungry crooks
Probably around $250 +. Keep him alive if you can. I'm sure you want to live as long as you can...
I'm not sure if we would use it but a nearby shelter definitely should
they see my guinea pigs..exotic basic exam is about 120 i think but worth it..dr mehlrose is amazing
You check in as soon as you drive into parking lot, they tell you where to park, and then they come take dogs
No.
I was charged $236 for the exam visit, but you can bring the animal back in 24 hours after discharge with no fee. If you can go to a primary vet try that but if it's an emergency, you're in great hands here!! I hope your parakeet gets better soon!!
Yes they do
I have no idea but you should do it
Bring them in they are open 24 hours, seven days a week.
I see the exotic vet, Dr. Mehlrose. Call them, and the staff will tell you which veterinarian you should see to address your dog's syndrome. God bless & good luck. Virginia
Take her to a vet to get looked at. Sounds like she may need a dental visit. (Although I'm not a vet and haven't actually seen the pup) but many vets (I think just about all) do dental. I always suggest this place as a speciality vet as they have EVERYTHING... But you'll be paying for just that. Call around, but I believe they will do dental too. Good luck.
Yes they treat them.
Yes, they certainly do. Ask for Dr. Edwin Brodsky.
I was quoted over $4000.00.
