Needed to appeal a decision made about my car's registration and thought this was where I needed to hand deliver my court document(s) ... turns out it is not 🤷🏻♀️ Wonderful people in the #HarrisburgDowntown area were helpful, especially a lovely State of Education Librarian named Kevin caring enough to take the time out of his day to inform me that this (beautiful) building is not the place to hand deliver any important documents. So, if you're looking to appeal a PENNDOT decision, please go to the address on the page where you are instructed to mail it to (Front Street DMV) instead & get a number and get in cue. There they will happily help process your appeal and they will also try to help you avoid a hearing if possible. Hope this review helps someone avoid a needless trip downtown.

Basically stole $2,417 from me. Sent in money orders to renew the registration for my semi, accidentally sent in the wrong form so that delayed registration. Did get the correct form to renew and sent that in. Got the invoice. But they are refusing to acknowledge the $2,417 I sent in a month ago despite the fact that they deposited them according to the bank. After almost 2 months without having my source of income and trying to pay bills I am out of money. I will be out of business in a few weeks and have to sell my semi. You can bet I'll be filing a complaint about fraud with the Federal Trade Commission and some of that money will go to hiring a lawyer.

Updated facility with very large, open space. This is where the heart of the Department of Transportation is located, with the Central Office, Human Resources, Office of Chief Counsel and other mini departments. Nice place for a state government building, compared to others in Pennsylvania. Building is open to public on the first floor, but the rest of building is locked down and you need ID to get throughout different floors. The majority of the state workers are still home teleworking during the pandemic. The cafeteria is still closed, and is limited staff available for any help. The hearing rooms are currently not being used, most of the time hearings are held online via Teams.

Since drivers taking a road test are unproven and unlicensed, examination vehicles are equipped with features to allow the examiner to take control of the vehicle in the event of the examiner losing control or behaving in an unsafe manner. Since personal (and rental) vehicles lack these modifications, they cannot be used in the course of a road test.
