They treat you like family always respectful

Office staff is rude and condescending, particularly John, and TBH, Dr Haines is loosing his touch. The saddest day of my life was made even worse by the staff here, and my dog was denied a peaceful passing due to vet error (or vet laziness...) with the euthanasia. It was traumatic and horrible. The vet "wasn't going to look for a vein", so he just injected the euthanasia into his back. It took so long for him to pass. While I'm holding my dog who is gasping for air and twitching, i had to ask Dr Haines multiple times to stop trying to make small talk and let me have a few moments of peace with my dog. He took him from me and I didn't even get to hold my dog while he took his last breath. He died on the exam table with Dr Haines pushing on the spot he injected him, trying to "spread" the medicine out. Do not take your pets here. This used to be such a wonderful office with knowledgeable staff who treated you like a person, but unfortunately that era of Hartford Veterinary is over.

The doctor was very detailed and examining my dog and very friendly the staff was great too
