We took the snorkeling tour in La Jolla cove and had a great time! Our guide shared local recommendations, stories about the area and helped us see more wildlife than if we had gone snorkeling by ourselves. Although we are experienced swimmers, it was great not having to worry about gear, driving/parking and figuring out where to swim to see wildlife. This tour takes all the hassle out of the experience!

Guide was great, information was helpful, I am such a beginner and they let me wimp out when I needed to with no shame. I appreciated their patience.

We were a group of 7...2 of us signed up for the spearfishing and all 7 for the snorkeling. I and my wife had been snorkeling once previously in Costa Rica with no issues and the other adult male, once in Jamaica succussfully. In Costa Rica, there were less waves and we left from the boat. On that snorkeling tour, there was more instruction and checking of gear functionality. On the spearfishing tour, wearing the mask, snorkel, weight belt, large free diving fins along with carrying the spear, quickly became too much for me as my mask leaked, I inhaled water and struggled as the waves washed over me. I made it back to shore and my son aged 16 and a competitive swimmer continued on with the guide. He enjoyed it. Snorkeling, was similar in that there was no easing into it and ensuring that the gear worked properly, it was walk backwards into the water, turn and go. Myself and the other adult male both had masks that leaked and inhaled water. He returned to shore immediately and was instructed don't get back in the water, I messed with my mask a bit, tried removing the snorkel, messed with the fins and eventually was told return to shore and don't get back in the water. The remaining 5 had a great time and the guide was informative and they all really enjoyed the tour. I consider myself pretty comfortable in the water, having a cabin on the lake, water skiing, wake boarding, I'll swim across the lake in the summer, we free dive down and pick rocks up to 15 feet deep, but yet I couldn't get my mask to work here and was instructed to go to shore and not return to the water. My wish is that there would have been more of a "step" process for both tours, ensuring everything worked and everyone was comfortable with each step, i.e. breathing through the snorkel, kicking with the fins, etc...I would have everyone put on the mask, walk out to chest deep water and just check for functionality, make sure there's no leaks, get used to breathing through the snorkel, then try the fins, make sure they're kicking properly, then ultimately combine the two and off you go. 15 minutes up front to slow the process down would greatly increase the success rate, in my opinion.

HORRIBLE!! I was planning on bringing a bunch of my friends here. So I decided to see how it went and thank god no one ik of gave them their business. What unprofessional people. Showed up 45 mins late just to let us know that our tour was canceled and proceeded to tell lies just to cover up the excuse they slept in late. Would not recommend for anyone.
