Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery

Everyone in our group were outside meeting with everyone. Some relatives I had not seen in years then everyone went inside. Inside in the chapel and a sevice was performed there. It was very nice, then everyone exited outside. Some left others continued to talk outside. The burial did not take place that day because there were still things the cemetery needed to do to finish up with their records. The answer to your question is yes. The service is accessible by either a wheel chair or walker. I thought the service was very nice and you don't want to miss it.

They are expanding faster than was expected. Bring that question to the office . They should answer that. That seems reasonable. A lote of my family and friends are buried here. What about the flower vases? Last few times I went to see my husband there were no vases available.

They may take it. They always take what I place if it contains anything at all. I put together some greens in the flower holder with a couple of small things and it was gone in 1 day. I couldn't even get it back. They said they threw it away. Very sad. Now I planted a tree at my home and I place things near the tree instead. You can always try and see. Good luck!

No they are very strict. At Christmas you can only have a round wreath with red bow, nothing else.

Artificial flowers are never allowed in the cemetery. fresh cut flowers which may be put inside their cemetery vase are left there in till they no longer look acceptable. potted plants underneath 8 in in diameter are allowed 5 days before and 5 days after Easter mother's Day memorial Day and Father's Day.

In most cases the spouse is in the same location as the veteran. The only time when that is not the standard is when someone passed away a while ago and was buried elsewhere, either at another Veterans' cemetery or private. The only time a couple may buried next to each other is if both have the proper qualifications of their military service.

To honor the person for his service. Their are some very honorable men and women who served to keep this country free. So you can live the way you do. Freedom is not free it has a cost. They paid that for you and your children.

As long as you have your loved ones honorable discharge documentation you will be able to apply without pre-registering
