We stayed here for a few months while my husband began training at Shaw AFB, and we are already planning our next stay when we come back. The best part of this hotel is the manager, Mr. Greg. He cares deeply about taking care of guests and the hotel spaces, and it shows! He takes care of guest needs pretty much before they even arise, and the spaces are always so clean and tidy from Greg's hard work outside and the housekeeping ladies' efforts inside. It feels like family taking care of you. Every time we see Greg in the parking lot he always asks how we are doing and genuinely cares to do whatever he can to help out. Greg even stocks the rooms with pots, pans, silverware, cutting board, cops, plates and an ironing board and iron! The room is the perfect size for my husband and I with a separated bedroom and living room/kitchen space. It's roomy enough that we don't feel squished together all the time. The kitchen area has a full sized stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and a good sized sink. We cook most of our meals at home, and staying here we didn't miss a beat in our cooking routine, whereas in other hotels we would not have been able to do any of it. The weekly housekeeping services are wonderful, and they really go above and beyond in helping keep the space clean. The area is quiet, there are several restaurants and a great grocery store less than 5 minutes away on Alice Drive, and it is only a 10 minute drive to Shaw AFB. This place is also just a few minutes from Palmetto Park, which is a great place to go walking and play tennis. It has been a great experience staying here and we are excited to be back here next time we are in Sumter!

Hidden Gem in Sumter! For the first year of my time stationed at Shaw, I was in training for months at a time so I didn't want to commit to a lease until I was in the city permanently. That's where this gem of a hotel came into place. After staying two weeks in base lodging and dealing with a horrible bug problem I left one night because I couldn't take it anymore. My mom helped me find this extended stay hotel since it isn't one of the first hotels that Google populates. From day one, I fell in love with the property and the manager Mr. Greg. He was retired military and always was so pleasant everytime he saw me. The property was safe, quiet, clean, and housekeeping consisted of the sweetest two ladies you ever wanted to meet. They were super honest too, I left a tip for housekeeping one time and when I returned, the money was nicely placed on the made up bed. Lol I had to call down and confirm that it was their tip before someone came back up to get it! I stayed in the hotel on and off for a total time of about six months in between trainings. My parents even came up to visit and Mr. Greg was so nice and accommodating even my dad didn't have a problem with me staying in a hotel that long. I recommend this hotel to every new PCS person I meet. I am thankful to have stumbled across this property and Mr. Greg. He made me feel safe staying at the hotel and made my first few months in a new place wonderful.

I stayed at this location for four months. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities that I needed for an extended stay. The property manager was very attentive to all my needs. Any issues that I had were resolved in 24 hours or less. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping my room immaculate. The area is safe and quiet. It is also within 10 min of Shaw AFB.

I stayed at Affordable Suites today 02/17/2016 and other dates afterwards. Mr Greg sold me my room and he was very nice and made sure our needs were met. Mr Greg is a person that we need at all hotels and Suites. I have sent so much people from in town and out of town to stay there. Anything we needed we had on our rooms and I would definitely send more people to him. Great Job Mr Greg. Keep up good work.
