If I can give this hotel 0 stars I would. This hotel is filthy and dirty especially the bathroom. The hotel room smell like mildew and the carpet looks like it was never cleaned. The bathroom tub have a black ring around it especially the toilet. We had a leak in our hotel room that came from the rain. When I told the receptionist at the front desk about it she said the best thing she can do is give us towels, and she only gave us two towels. Not to mention we had to sleep in that room while the carpet was wet and the smell became even worse. That’s a health hazard. The hotel staff do not take pride in their job, they lack common sense when it comes to customer service. The Hilton company need to investigate on this hotel and staff because they are not doing what they supposed to do to make the customers happy. You are supposed to check behind you staff and make sure they are doing what they supposed to do. Don’t waste your hard earn money for a $164.00 a night you deserve better. I’m going to screenshot this comment because if it gets deleted I will be getting in contact with the Hilton company.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, and as far as this hotel it would have been perfectly acceptable...except that someone in a room near mine was smoking the foulest weed imaginable and the smell was so strong it was choking me up. When I mentioned it to the desk they acted like they did not want to deal with it. When I returned to my room later that day it was still happening. The room itself was clean, but it and the hallway had an odor like sweaty gym socks. On a positive note, the cleaning staff was very friendly and the breakfast was better than average.

The Mgr. here is awesome, the front desk person was professional, groomed, knowledgeable and the stay was EXACTLY what I expected from a Hilton chain. Price was competitive. I travel the entire region of NC & SC for Progressive Leasing Inc. so after a long hard day I guarantee this is the place in Sumter SC.

The Hampton Inn is my staple hotel chain no matter where I go. They always provide hospitable service, clean rooms, a hot breakfast, and convenient locations. The Hampton Inn is probably one of the most consistent brands out there and I am always 100% content with their offerings.
