Our teen son got scholarship to attend a Tibetan Himalayan Buddhist retreat 4 years ago. He flew from our hometown in Portland, Oregon. His mom being white and dad a Tibetan, we want him to acquaint with his culture. He really liked it. We hope to tour Garrison’s beautiful forested natural setting and do a retreat some day.

Love the programs held at the Garrison Institute from the top spiritual teachers in the world. Situated on the Hudson River, this old monastery was converted into a place to find inner peace, contemplation and deepen ones spiritual practice.

Went to se Krishna Das there. It was an amazing place. So peaceful. I would got to a retreat there anytime!

Do I need to bring towels to the retreat?

There are non fancy towels, if you want something nicer you should bring it

I am unable to attend this weekends retreat. I am feeling poorly and afraid it would be a risk to my health. I paid in full and ws just wondering if another friend could take my place if aI sign a note and give it to Bev Hock who is attending.
