Even when you ring the montpelier office during opening times, the recorded message instructs callers to ring back when the office is open! This has been going on for more rhan a year. Its very frustrating especially for the elderly or deaf. And while the recorded message advises callers to 'go online' if the caller needs to make an appointment this advice totally ignores the fact that many elderly blind or honeless people do not use or have access to the internet! As far as social inclusion abd helpfulness goes this recorded message doesnt cut it.

Sorry about your husband being unwell I believe that it depends on how long you're married for if its been 10 years or longer you would get his benefit plus yours I hope that helps.
No
Appointment only and only on Monday
No, you can just walk in and get the ticket
No, I was able to walk in yesterday to do a name change and only waited maybe twn minutes. Appointments help if you have an urgent matter that needs to be seen however to ensure you get in.
You will have to go to Social Security with proper identification.
Yes, but they are also taking walk-ins. I walked in for a replacement SS card and walked out 30 minutes later. Any paperwork you can complete ahead of time helps. Check ssa.gov to see what's required for your task.
Most people on SSA, SSI or SSDI do not need to file taxes.
Have know idea
No I don't think they do that there you will just need proof of your of address and ID I hope that helps.
Go social security they can give you a print out right there it doesn't take long or you can get one online at there website.
Yes
I am not an administrator, you need to contact Social Security either at the office in Montpelier or online.
I don't think so unless you have kids that are eligible for ssdi
Ok so you just go to the social security officer tell them you lost it and they will send you a new one in the mail but you need to bring ID with you.
Ok after you change your name just bring in both cards if you have one with your married name and with your maiden name they will fix it.
Yes you do get it on your birthday the first year then it should come on the third of the but they will tell you when you apply.
Hello yes there is parking sometimes its easy.
Its a scam don't tell them anything and hang up that's what I would do.
The best way is go to the office fill out the application then they mail it to you.
It all depends on what you need they have a question box there and you get a number.
If you have the paper they gave you at their office, a lot of places will use that instead of the actual card cause its a legal form with your ss# on it. You could also go back down to the social security office and find out where yours is at and or request a new one.
Yes
Yes, otherwise you might ended up waiting 40 to 60 minutes for your ticket to be called .
