Very wide sandy strip. Sand from broken shells, like in the Maldives. The entrance to the ocean is smooth, shallow. Walking along the edge is very pleasant. You can find live large shells right on the shore. Great place with kids.

Made a trip here in January and it was such an awesome experience. I was able to Kayak and take my camera out with me. Not sure how it gets during the warmer months but in January I had a lot of privacy. The staff was very helpful and kind. Joe was great! I hope to come back some day, but I had to go back to snowy Ohio!

We're traveling to Tigertail Beach in November. What did Irma do to the lagoon, beach, cafeteria etc..? Is it all still there?

It's all still there. There are a couple new channels that have broken through the beach to the lagoon, but apart from being a little battered (was last there a couple months ago) it's mostly unchanged.
