Love it! Be careful about your site. Some of the decks have a super steep incline or decline entering and the decks show signs of many rigs bottoming out. Many are really level and super easy to back in. It just depends. Bathhouse are nice but need more ventilation.

Amazing sites and views. Bathrooms are few and far from many sites. Parking on a deck is amazing and just adds to the view. Cell phone coverage is bad which is why I gave 4/5 for this place. If you can stay here and swim in the rustic side of the lake I would. On the other side of the lake is Floating Mills campground with high density sites and a beach.

Loved this Tennessee State Park! Totally different RV sites that were set on piers with some having like views like the one had. Close to Interstate 40 and Cookeville Tennessee. We stayed only one night and had reserved the spot for just a one night layover. Hook ups were water and power with a dump station available. Plenty of room on the spot we had for our 35 foot fifth wheel. Hope to stay here again in the future.

Awesome place for Camping. Good hiking spots. Can do fishing as well. Very friendly environment. Made me realize how Israelite camped in the wilderness and how provided them everything. Numbers 10:31 Then he said, “Please do not leave us, inasmuch as you know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you will be as eyes for us.

For an hour and a half this time of year, park closes at 10:30.
With taxes and fees they run around $100 per night.
Good crappie and trout
Yes there is. There's a storybook trail and a few others. The storybook trail has points with pages from a book you can read while hiking. Its really awsome
Yes, they have primitive camp sites to rent.
Look online at recreation.gov to reserve the lot
Each suite can accommodate six (6) adults with two double beds in the bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room.
You can call the reservation line and they can tell you. I was there two weeks ago and I think all were open.
Yes
I just spent the day when I came in but I want to come back and rent a cabin as well.
Yes they have kyak rentals
There is a pool at the park. Quite nice too
Im not sure about edgar evins but i know of other places that will have them on the 6th and the 7th
If you stay in the campground you can cook out, but there is no beach.
There are a few places to rent boats in that area. A Google search will turn up a bunch of good leads. Call the Park office for more details of boats that are available for rent at Edgar evins State Park
None of the cabins have fireplaces inside. There is a large fire pit out back that is available on a first come basis. It has several porch type swings around it and is large enough for many people to enjoy together. There are also some charcoal park type grills out front of each building.
James Edgar Evins (1883–1954), the park's namesake, was a Smithville businessman and state senator who played a vital role in the development of the Center Hill Dam and Reservoir in the 1940s. He was the father of former United States Representative Joe L. Evins, for whom the nearby Joe L. Evins Appalachian Center for Craft is named. The Evins family began pushing for the establishment of a state park along the DeKalb portion of Center Hill Lake as early as the 1950s.
Some of the campsites have trails to the lake. The lake there has rock walls like a huge natural swimming pool.
