Worship services are only on Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a. m. A nearby Roman Catholic church is St. Matthew's at 1725 Rhode Island Ave N.W.
Briefly, participants began worshipping in D.C. nearly 175 years ago this December. Present sanctuary was dedicated in 1930 as a national church for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). U.S. Presidents James Garfield and Lyndon Johnson were active participants during their administrations. Sunday tours are conducted weekly at 12:30 p.m. near the Garfield Memorial stained glass window. Please come and enjoy!
