Per museum staff, technically anyone born in America is a native American so the term isn't as easy to use as people think.
It is easier to take subway and circulator
We spent about 3 hours and didn't see the whole thing. We spent extra time in the military portion and some of the other areas. If you like to read the placards don't limit yourself on time.
Yes there is...several museums has more than 1 gift shop...
Can you ask again in English?
Hello, We cater to all kinds of demographics. We have school children as young as elementary school level all the way up to college level come to the museum for education and projects! We have things that can cater to all genders including Native community curated exhibits! As far as economic levels the museum is free so that won't hurt anyone's pockets lol. No but our exhibits do show case and high light the many levels of economic break throughs and struggles of Native communities. We support Native artists by selling their items in the gift shop, we high light native artists in photography, painting, sculpting, and music in the museum. We have many festivals show casing Native communities, with artist from that community selling, demonstrating, and educating people from all over the world who visit. There are so many layers to the museum, and you can unlock them all with the right questions and the thirst for knowledge! Oh no I'm running out of characters!
Donating to the museum of the American Indian
The DC building opened in 2004.
Navajo
The gift shop is located on the 2nd floor of NMAI.
You needed reservations a month ago before museums open but now no need of reservations. Enjoy!
This museum is part of the Smithsonian Museums. My recommendation would be to research how to contact the Smithsonian Museum/ museum curator. I'm not certain whether their collections are comprised of donations, acquisitions or a combination of both.
There is no tickets needed for the National Museum
The Child Plaza Metro.
Apparently not.
Yes, there is.
Yes.
Yes, interactive q and a are scattered throughout the museum to serve as an aid for learning. Many of interactive activities are situated as you depart the elevators. Other are located on different floors of the museum. Be certain to check out the gift shop. Enjoy.

All 26 letters are represented throughout the museum. All of the numbers as well. It's really inclusive
There is security that looks through all bags and makes you walk through a metal detector, so be prepared for that experience. I dont think they have lockers large enough for suitcases.
No tickets needed. You will need comfortable shoes, though. There is a LOT to see.
Several options available. Cafe in the basement is a good spot.
It's at least 12 to 14 feet floor to floor. I would say the fourth floor is 36 feet or greater.
I was just there today and saw three cookbooks. One was entirely vegetarian, another was for plains and souix, and the last was generic native recipes.
