The staff was courteous and supplied all information needed for Keta. They did a follow up phone call to insure my pet was doing okay even offered advice which was helpful. I would recommend this facility if you are looking to adopt a new pet.
Sharon Brown

Absolutely! The Humane League, which is a Humane Pennsylvania adoption center, IS a No Kill shelter! Humane Pennsylvania does not euthanize any animals for space, treatable illness, or behavioral issues, thanks to our full veterinary staff, multiple accredited hospitals, full-time staff behavior specialists, pet caretaker support programs, and spectacular adoption services. I'm proud to say that HPA far exceeds the "90% save rate" threshold to be considered a no-kill. In 2021 so far and all of 2020, we achieved a 100% success rate for all healthy AND treatable sick, injured, and behaviorally challenged dogs, cats, and small animals (and in 2019 & 2018, it was 98% for dogs and 94% cats)
Katelyn, thanks so much for helping a dog in need! Humane Pennsylvania takes in many strays every year and gets them reconnected with their families or finds them new ones every day. It's always best to check with your local police or animal control agency (or any other animal shelter) before bringing us a stray to ensure there isn't another place or contracted service provider you should go to. If you check out HumanePA.org, there is information on what to do if you have a stray. P.S.: Humane PA is a no-kill animal shelter!
There was a free cat event some time ago. Haven't heard of a free dog event, at least not yet.
I adopted my cat from there and they said she was brought in as a stray....so I'm pretty sure that they do.
Yes
I don't know for sure about this weekend but I know they do offer free adoptions at times. Don't miss out!! Lots of cuteness there!!
They will at full vet price. If youre looking for low cost, contact pet pantry.
You can take the kitten to the pet pantry in 741. It is the cheapest place to sterilize
Yes
I paid 160 for neutering duclaw remove and a cone
They can get very busy and sometimes are shorthanded. Try calling later when more people are volunteering.
No u have to call or go by once a week or so because it differ day by day
Yes you can.
You have to check to see if they have room.
Beautiful family
You should call them for specific question. This is a general information review of the place only.
I scheduled my dog's neutering and it cost me $51 for pre op visit snd $170 for the actual surgery. I did mention that i was tight on money but they didn't offer me any assistance.
Just depends on which county you're in Angela.
They don't usually have rabbits basically dogs & cats but I would call justn case
Yes
Yes, but call ahead first to make sure they have room. Of course you'll also have to pay a surrender fee for them.
You'll need to call and ask them. If they're full, they will say no. We also have Pet Pantry and the SPCA in Lancaster that you could try
Your best bet is to go into their location.
I agree. I will say no to this question pertaining to humane league
I believe the dog brought there were from shelters, not from owners. They were brought up so the shelters can have space for any animals that get hurt by the hurricane
I believe they do, but the best thing to do is call at 9:00am and they can answer your question and direct you in the right to the way.
I woukd assume not because it could get stolen or damaged i woukd definitely call and ask a staff member.
You need the call and ask or check the website
Check out their website!
No nonsense neutering charges 35...great place
Yes. They take donations. Call or check what they currently need. I believe blankets, dog/cat food, and cat litter.
You can give them a call they will let you know what they have, also check there web sight out
Nope
You can go in any time they are open. They are open daily. Check website for hours. They also put pictures of available animals there as well.
Volunteer only
No... they give the pets some time to get adopted if not they euthanize them😥😥😥
I'm sorry to hear that you both are hurting. You should be able to take the cat in. You may want to call ahead first. My condolences...
Was unable to reach by phone before I needed to leave. Took a chance and they were happy to receive .
The shelter will ask for a donation for surrendering them, and i'm sure you could work something out with them!
Just asking if someone would know don't think u understand. Maybe someone else will
You would have to call and ask, i think they do but they might be full right now.
There are lots of options. The humane league is one. The pet pantry is another. I'm not positive but I think the fish place has a cat shelter. Not sure how they each work. Humane league I believe has a surrender fee. But I don't know how much. Or if you Google surrender a cat in lancaster pa area, you will find other places too. Just make sure you get him to a good place. I know it's hard to have to part with your pet. Good luck. Maybe you could try talking to your new landlord about keeping him. Some will allow and will instead raise the rent. Usually $25 for a cat. Dogs are more. You'll never know unless you ask. God bless you and your furbaby
I dont k ow but look up bunny people in Harrisburg they take them
You can ask the humane league, sometimes they have clinics but they also might be able to point you in the right direction. Willow run & smoketown vet are also good.
The rates are a little better than a vet clinic. They send coupons to customers. They also offer discounts for low income people.
Uh this is not the right place for that question. You should use a median that is actually run by the humane league like their Facebook page not this public/social service. So you should actually just call them... My condolences
I would call the humane league and if they can't help then I'm sure they could steer you in the right direction.
I answer my phone all the time! This is not a forum managed by the humane league... But rather a public/social Q&A media. If you want to ask questions like this, I recommend doing so in the proper place which is managed by their staff (i e. Facebook).
Im sitting here with one of their employees, she said call asap, theres high turn around. You cant hold animals over the phone either.
Call animal control or the ASPCA to see if they can pick up the strays n get them help.
I know Lamancha in chester county does farm animals.
If you're under 18 you can volunteer but a parent or legal guardian has to be with you.
I agree with Heather n call them to see what they say about how to handle the cat n where to take it, etc.
Yes they do and they will appreciate anything you donate. Humane League is a great place.
Do NOT go there.
I agree with Heather about that you would need to have a legal guardian with you when you decide to volunteer.
You can call several different places to check to see what kind of dogs they have. I recommend: Humane League or the SPCA.
Not sure, if you want to know about any of the animals there, either call or go n visit during normal business hours from 8am-5pm, seven days a week.
Its 45 dollars for a 60lb dog if that helps any
I'm not sure but you could probably call them to ask. Sorry I can't be more help.
The surrender fee is typically $75 but I would think in some circumstances, such as stray kittens, the Humane League may waive that in order to find them a good home.
Not sure probably 18
