Great community center. Showers, they provide a clean towel and fresh clothes if needed. Able to charge your batteries. Grab a bag lunch. Use the computer for workforce development application, design and print resume. And the list goes on ….

I really would like to thank the 2 wonderful, God sent ladies who helped me last Friday. I’m sorry I forgot their names but they were so compassionate & caring. I am from NY & was stranded in MD..the social worker from Anne Arundel Medical Center sent me to the House of Hope & I will be forever grateful that she did. These 2 angels got me a bus ticket home within an hour of me being there & also made sure I made it to the bus terminal on time. Words cannot express how thankful I am to them both & they definitely made me believe in the goodness of people again. Thank you both so much & again I am very sorry that I cannot remember their names.

Sadly because of the Covid this year (2020) AHOH will not be having winter relief as it is known but for clients who are in need of shelter during the winter months AACO has provided a hotel in Annapolis for those who fit the homeless criteria and you can get that number by calling the AHOH # or through DSS and the Light House in Annapolis. For residents of Baltimore City you must call Baltimore city's DSS# and they also have a hotel in Baltimore that the city is using.

Somewhat. You can spend time in the "day room" where there is often something to eat and drink, tv and movies. They offer clothing and couseling as well. But as I understand it, unfortunately, when night time comes you are on your own. They helped me with partial apartment rent in their Rental Assistance Program (RAP) for two years after I had a house fire, but I also had some income. I hope this info helps. Btw, my counselor was Elaine Hill.
