I don't normally leave reviews, but feel really compelled to after the experience I had at Scanlon Lexus. I purchased a pre-owned car here last month. Unfortunately, I did have a concerning problem with the brakes and contacted the dealer about it. Despite it being over the 30 day warranty, Paul Lombardo (sales manager) said he would help me out. He actually had it towed from my house in Tampa, all the way to Fort Myers so his team could address the problem. The next day my car was safely back on the road. Paul went above and beyond to provide me with first-class customer service, despite not being in any contractual position that would force him to. Paul responded to all of my emails within minutes and just was on top of everything with lightning speed. While the brake issue was an inconvenience, Paul took all of the stress away and resolved the issue within hours. I can't thank him enough. I would highly recommend purchasing from this dealership. They are first class in every sense of the word.

I had been on the hunt for a specific lexus model and happened to find a great option at this dealership. I traveled 2 hours from my home for this deal, but From the start I called in and spoke with the amazing Melissa Hartle in sales who was able to submit my credit and have all the necessary documentation prepared for my arrival for a smooth transaction. When I arrived she already had the vehicle out front running and ready for a quick test drive. She was pleasant to deal with and submitted me into financing where I worked with Frank Celozzi who took me thru the financing, warranty & gap protection options with great detail and integrity. I had such an efficient experience in and out in just over an hour. I will not hesitate to refer family and friends searching for lexus and other brands. Update (9/14/2022): Negotiated another new 2022 white ES350 for friend of mine yesterday at Germain Lexus. So far all of the cars I bought or helped to purchase at Germain never paid MSRP. My friend was extremely happy after all the “work” she has put in shopping around different dealerships. Free lifetime oil change and car wash was icing on the cake. She is taking me out for dinner. Haha. Update (8/30/2022): Time flies. It has been a year since I bought the new ES350 from Scanlon. I decided to upgrade the car. However I am a LOT more careful about the prices this time. I didn’t feel well on Monday. Germain Lexus even offered to do e-signing and deliver the vehicle to my house. Talking about service! I ended up going in yesterday and purchased a new Lexus RX350 with more upgrades and only $4000 more than I paid a year ago at Scanlon on a ES350! About the trade in, I got a great offer as well. I got $40k for 13514 miles driven. Very happy with the prices from Germain. I even met a couple at the dealership who tried to make a decision between Germain and Scanlon. I am glad I talked them into purchasing a RX350 on the spot with me. Now both of us can enjoy life time oil changes and car washes. Update (6/6/2022): Helped a friend of mine to trade in a 2019 Rav 4 with 48600 miles for $24000 and get a beautiful brand new red RX350 with premium package and options for only $47000! Great trade in value and great purchase price! And he gets lifetime oil change and car wash from Germain Lexus. Honestly I am ready to trade in my 2021 ES350 bought last year from a Scanlon, with a trade in that sank me $7000! Update (5/28/2022): Spoken with my friend to get a Lexus. He didn’t bother to check a trade in value with Scanlon. He traded in his 2018 Toyota Rav4 LE, with 27000 miles for $23000, for a Lexus ES350. Great trade in value! His daughter loves the car with black exterior and gold interior. Update (5/20/2022): Again thanks for the quick update from the dealership. The response seems to suggest that my tires were not in the correct speed rating and therefore replaced even with only 6000+ miles. I went back to Costco and asked for a verification. Two Costco employees at its Tire Center assured me that my tires were at correct speed rating and Costco would not sell any tire that is not safe or compatible for the vehicle. Update (5/5/2022): I went to Germain Lexus this time. As expected, people are very nice and professional there. I decided to trade in my daughter’s 3-year-old Camry EX (16000 miles) for a new ES350 F Sport. They gave me $27000 for the trade. In comparison I think this is a fair and good value for me. Their new car price is only slightly lower than that of Scanlon Lexus. I also get lifetime oil change and car wash for free. My daughter so far is very happy with the car. Clearly they actually want to keep me as a long term client. I introduced a friend of mine to them right away. And another friend of mine will likely to get one RX in a couple of months. Sales manager James over there is very nice. Update(August 2021): Thanks for the response from Scanlon and its updated price. Again they are professional people. However, I replaced the old tires at 52000 miles with four new Michelin tires from Costco. Now the car has 58600 miles (the tires are only about 6600 miles old). Even the Appraiser commented on the good condition of the tires. I seriously doubt they have to be replaced again because I highly doubt Costco would sell me tires not set with the correct speed rating. When I purchased them, Costco gives me a limited selection of tires that fit my car condition. (August 2021) Very nice and professional people. Told me that they believed in fair price and long term client. I believe in that philosophy as well. So I bought a new Lexus from them and traded in my old Lexus. The trade-in price was $16000 and they are now selling my old one for over $24000 two days later. Meanwhile friend of mine recently sold a car to Ft. Myers Toyota for $14000, and they are reselling it for $16300.

I bought a RX 350 last February from Scanlon. What a terrible experience. The salesman Gary suggested I have a ceramic coating applied to the paint. It helps protect the paint. The cost was $900. When I picked up the car the only paperwork I received was a receipt for the payment. Later when I called about a warranty and could he send it to me, he said since I was moving he didn't want to send it so he took pictures of the paperwork and emailed them. I could barely read them and they weren't signed by the dealer. I don't think they did the work. Gary said there should have been a chemical odor in the car. There wasn't. He still refused to send the papers. After I moved I called the sales manager Chris Lilley who said he would send them. He didn't. Finally I sent a letter to John Scanlon with no response. I think I got scammed. Contrary to all the nice review they get I would guess a lot are made up. One thing for sure, I will NEVER but another Lexus.
