I had the most awful experience here in the ER at Franklin Square. The staff is UNBELIEVABLY rude to patients & patient family members. As a disabled person with epilepsy I needed someone to provide information for me if I'm unable to speak for myself. My mother (also caregiver) asked once very politely if she could somehow leave her number or come back (only patients under 18 can have family with them), to which one of the staff members replied by walking into the back then coming back out, making a remark & laughing with another staff member that she "didn't even ask" before telling my mother she wasn't able to. Nobody listened to anything I had concerns about, bothered to understand my medical history, or even check on me. I'm on a strict medication regimen and when I asked if there was any way I'd be able to get ahold of my medication I was forgotten about. I was given none of my seizure medication. The security personnel also harass people in the waiting room, telling them to get up and move a chair back after they've been forced to sleep in the waiting room for HOURS. If you were called back or needed, it was from one spot far away and the staff wouldn't come to help someone who may have fallen asleep or even hard of hearing...and any sleeping patients didn't have their vitals checked which is blatantly lazy with no attempt to wake them up/confirm info. Never have I had any issues with the ER department previously but this was absolutely shocking. There's no way I'd willingly step foot inside there again. It's the emergency room...there should be no tolerance for this kind of behavior. If I could give 0 stars I would, I'm livid. After 9 hours I got my IV removed & chose to leave because I needed to seek care elseware. How has there not been any kind of actual change after such recent months/weeks of negative feedback?

(The Er section) Horrific service. The staff is so rude, unkind, and inconsiderate. This is a hospital where we’re supposed to help the sick get well and help the dying rest easy. Yet the staff is so ignorant. They don’t care about you, your time, or your health. My own mother was treated in such a disgusting manor. She was in the bathroom and had fallen, and pulled the assistance string. No one came to help her. She was in so much pain. They told her it wouldn’t be long yet she waited for 6 hours in excruciating pain. And on top wouldn’t let ANYONE sit with her. If your not going too treat your patients well, DONT BE A DOCTOR/NURSE. These people are disgustingly rude and arrogant. Do NOT go here. I will be following up with a lawsuit. You don’t just ignore patients in total distress. Not to mention my own experience isn’t well either. Last time I went the nurse didn’t seal my IV. I’m glad I noticed because it was leaking my blood all over the place. I was just bleeding out. Just an awful place all around. This place should be shut down.

The emergency is horrible. I am pregnant and went in with severe cramping I still haven’t seen a doctor yet. I asked one of the staff to find out some information for me and she left and never came back until a hour after and didn’t even have the courtesy to say anything! The emergency is disgusting! If I could give 0 stars I would ! My baby life the most important and they haven’t given any information! Horrible

This deserves zero stars worst experience of my life nasty staff also lied and didn’t send tests but billed me tried to blame the lab but never sent in the test . Worst service how this place stays around is beyond me they lied to me about tests for two weeks. Didn’t care about my well being at all. And found out after waiting for results that are suppose to take 3-5 days 2 and a half weeks later I find out they lost my test or never sent it god knows where it went. I feel sorry for whoever has to go here goodluck .

What are you going there for?
No. It should be. Have all kinds of nuts case that I work with there.
Hi, the address for the white square building is 5233 King Ave SUITE 208 - SECOND FLOOR, Rosedale, MD 21237.
Go through the covid test center. That is your best place to start they can direct you if needed.
Highly doubtful as any gatherings have been postponed until the state of emergency is lifted.
I am not sure.
There are Physician offices across from the front entrance of the hospital.
If the patient doesn't want family to visit, that is their right and there is nothing that you can do it. The hospital does not initiate the restriction unless they feel that a visit would be detrimental to the patient's care and recovery.
I am not a doctor or medical professional Joyce but I would seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY to the closest hospital available!
I work at Franklin Square but not familiar with that department . Cant answer your question sorry.
A 1 year old child with a fever of 102 degrees Fahrenheit or more can be serious. Take the child to the the nearest emergency room. If the nearest is Franklin Square Medical Center, they no longer have a pediatric department, so the child will most likely be transferred. Hope this helps!
This is community question page, therefore Franklin Square staff most likely do not check this page very often.
I am not sure if that doctor has offices at the hospital. Check the register or call the main desk. They should be able to help.Any other guides? The translation is Italian. He is looking for Dr. Dylands offices. Orthopedics...
Hello Delfina, I suggest you contact your primary care doctor and schedule an appointment. so your doctor can evaluate it and make a diagnosis.
Most floors, yes. ICU (T2) is 12 and under. Also 3 visitors max on 2T. The other units might allow more.
I can't answer that, it depends how busy they are on that particular day, and your question.
Yes I agree. This hospital (and ER) are terrible! Absolutely nuts! I suggest you go to Johns Hopkins, GBMC, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake, or University of Maryland Medical Center!
Hello! I’m not sure....because they cannot keep children more than 1 day. (Children can’t stay overnight at F.S. they would have to be transferred if needed to stay overnight) You can look on their website at; medstarfranklinsquare.org or call them. Thanks, have a great day!
I'm sorry for this inconvenience, but they recently closed the pediatric dept. permanently.
The front desk could give u all information you may need.
Hi! To treat pain, they may give you certain medications to help relieve the pain, but that depends on the condition. Thanks, have a great day!
