We recently rushed our 8 year old dog here for an emergency visit. When we arrived, our boy was showing no signs of life whatsoever and had to be carried in by 2 attendants. We were asked if we wanted CPR performed and we said yes because, of course, we want to to everything we can against all hope to save him. My only gripe is that the attending vet attempted revival for perhaps 5 minutes, at the most, before pronouncing him dead and still charged me 250.00 for CPR. The minimal amount of time, effort and resources used, before deciding to terminate, doesn't justify the cost IMO. The bill did not itemize anything other than the administration of CPR e.g. no drugs, or additional equipment was used in an effort to revive the dog.

Called because our dog had a large mass on his leg that we were awaiting surgery to remove. In the meantime, it ripped open and our dog was bleeding profusely from the wound and we could not get it to stop. Called Metropolitan early on a Saturday morning and they insisted that they were only for emergencies. Not sure how a dog bleeding excessively isn’t an emergency, but glad we didn’t give them any of our money.
