A Do It Yourself library card is needed. It was as easy a applying for regular library card. I have never had any"orientation" for any of the tools or equipment that I have borrowed.
The library is opened to everyone, you only have to have a card if you need to check books out
You can request books online and schedule a time to pick up. They pit them in a bag for non contact pick up.
Yes, quite a few. You will want to get there before 3:30 when the kids get out of school though. They go quickly.

Passport services are available only at the East Columbia and Glenwood branches of HCLS.
Tools and other items (from knitting needles to cake pans!) are available for checkout at our new DIY Education Center. Visit the branch to apply for a DIY card and learn about the process.

The library is open Monday through Thursday 10 am - 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am - 6 pm, and Sunday 1 pm - 5 pm. *During the summer, please visit HCLS's Central or Miller branches for Sunday service. All other branches will be closed on Sundays June through August.
Photocopiers, including scan and fax capabilities, are available to the public for a fee.
