Well made jumps, great pumptrack, unfortunately Not a great jump progression. Nice shade though. Overall fun place.

Decent little bike park. Pump track needs to be re done. The main jump line can be difficult to clear with rolling speed depending on your skill level.

Hi, is the skills park only for bikes, I'm asking because I have to RC trucks and have been trying to find a place with dirt jumps

Carlos Spriggs | Sep 25, 2021
John Bonney | Sep 25, 2021

It is designed for bikes, and usually there is a lot of people. I know you can't have motorized vehicles (dirt bikes etc) So I'm not sure if that technically falls in the realm of RC vehicles. But I can tell you that it's usually too busy to ride them around. With all the bikers it would probably get crushed

What’s a good bike for this park. are there any rentals? and i know it’s mountain bikes or bmx but what type of models?

Tanner Sanders | Sep 26, 2019

No rentals, just a fun open access skills park. Personally, I ride a 29er hardtail - Santa Cruz Chameleon - and a full suspension 27.5 enduro - Devinci Troy - and I get value from the skills park on each. If you want to just rock the park, dirt jump bike for sure. For MTB, this is an added value area on top Patapsco and Rockburn.

No way, no motorized vehicles allowed in Rockburn or Patapsco. Yeah, seriously. Community takes it seriously too - seen folks arguing over whether an e-bike (battery powered mountain bike) is allowed. I suspect the police would show up real quick if you bring a dirt bike in...

Does this place have beginner friendly bike trails for adults and children?

Jose Jaquez | Sep 26, 2018
Alec Kisiel | Sep 26, 2018

Yes, however the skills park itself is more tailored to intermediate and advanced riders, or those seeking that skill level. The pump track is good for all. Definitely worth a visit as this is a free asset for the public. There are several trails directly located in Rockburn and, across Landing Road, Patapsco State Park that offer an opportunity to build skill and confidence.
