This review is for the SHINE Program. They never called me back. That's a BIG deal. Situations get stale. People are waiting on you. Weeks later, I finally called them again. Recalling that the African-American woman who answers the phones is horrible, I sucked up my pride and tolerated her again. There is no structure or sanity here. I had "fallen through the cracks" so was assigned to the manager of the advocacy department (Pam). She was anxious and short with me when we spoke and said we'd have to talk later. She had "an appointment with her mother". It’s Tuesday morning. You're already not doing your job correctly. You’re supposed to be at work. You don’t get to choose your priorities and then take out your stressors on clients. And please, get some tools. If you can’t speak on the phone, let your calls go to voice mail. When Pam and I finally spoke "later", I was just subject to such extreme manipulation that I had to end our relationship. She made it very clear that I would be receiving no help. Because she isn't capable! I called back and spoke with the manager of SHINE (Cheryl Harris) who was the exact same way: completely manipulative and untreated. So I had to end my relationship with SHINE altogether. I could not have been more open-hearted or patient with these women. But they were not healthy enough to do their jobs. In the end, I found I was not only much more experienced than they, but completely capable to handle my situation on my own.

Useless waste of time. They're asking for 30 minutes to reveal your personal and fiduciary information, without a clue if you qualify. The young woman I spoke to, reading off a script, couldn't be bothered to answer my questions... I asked for some literature about the programs, she was stumped for a reply. When I ask her to stop, repeatedly, as she blew through part of her script , she accused me of being rude and started dressing ME down! A supervisor was asked for, and the return call gave me no reason to continue with this agency. A waste of taxpayers dollars.

I recently left a comment regarding this place. I had called ahead of time and spoke with an amazing woman named Julia. When I went to get help with my insurance issues, the woman who attempted to help was of no help. She gave me phone numbers and tried to tell me things I knew were not correct. Apparently, I'm not old enough and the fact I've never married, is a thing I felt completely uncomfortable about. There were elderly couples and a woman who's Daughter was helping with the process. I don't care for eldercare and I continue to receive job offers instead of help with my insurance issues. I will not be contacting you again. I do wish to Thank Julia, for your care and concern for my dilemma. The woman I met with, was of NO help.

It was fine. I don't feel as tho I got the information I truly needed but, I do appreciate the woman I spoke with yesterday. Her name was Julia and I am dropping her name because she truly showed care in my distress. I've been given phone numbers and I will be reaching out to Medicare via phone. This is frustrating because people don't answer the phone at many Government offices especially in Gainesville, FL
