Not only is Pt Orange library in a very beautiful place, but it is a clean, well run library! My family enjoys utilizing this wonderful asset to our City. I just had the privilege to attend the wonderful program, " Thurgood", as performed by Pt Orange' s own Mr. Larry Murphy. Thank you for this experience!

Questions & Answers

Are beverages allowed and is there a lounge area to remax and read

dp ny | Sep 26, 2019
Info VolusiaLibrary | Sep 26, 2019

Thank you for your question. Food and beverages are not allowed in the library, but we do have water fountains available. There are several comfortable reading areas around the library. The library is most quiet in the mornings and great for reading and relaxing. The noise level in the library is louder in the afternoons, after schools dismiss for the day. We look forward to welcoming you to the Port Orange Regional Library.

Can I order a library card on line?

Terri Rust Steward | Sep 25, 2021
John Robinson | Sep 25, 2021

Not sure. It only takes a few minutes to get one at the Library.

Just wondering when and if the library will start selling books again..if they aren't perhaps they can be donated to thrift shops who do sell them . They can use the donations and the customers would love them as well.

Info VolusiaLibrary | Sep 25, 2021

I am hoping sales will resume when we go into the next phase of the reopening process. At this time, we are not taking donations. If patrons are willing to hold the items until we go into the next phase, we are truly appreciative. If they do not want to wait, they can donate to one of the local charities that take books. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the library.

Good Morning, Ben. We will be having small book sales on Friday Nov. 8 and Nov. 22 from 10am-1:45pm. We have also increased our book sale space within the library. Please stop by and check out our "pop-up" book sales in November. We are hoping to hold them each month. Please feel free to call us at 386-322-5152 if you'd like to learn more. Have a great day. We look forward to seeing you.

Can the library make double sided color copies? I have a brochure project for school. I don’t want to drive to Daytona to go to Office Depot. Thank you

Jill O'brien | Sep 26, 2019
Info VolusiaLibrary | Sep 26, 2019

Thank you for your question. We do have a photo copier that will make double-sided color copies. The price is .25 per side for color. However, if you need to PRINT double sided color pages, you will need to ask staff at the Reference Desk for assistance, because our public printer does not automatically print double-sided. We will be more than happy to help you with this. We hope to see you soon!
