Nice room, good breakfast spread, plenty of parking, and friendly staff. A handful of above-average eateries are within walking distance: Trolley Steaks, Jimmy John's (good), Bagger Dave's (really good!), Nori Asian. Sadly, there were two Dumpsters 30 feet outside our window and the 6:20 a.m. thunder of garbage trucks -- Friday & Saturday -- was a jarring way to start the day. But, hey, it was convenient to Sweetwater's GearFest (10~15 minutes depending on traffic closer to the campus).

Metalhead Mike

A good hotel. Nice and quiet so one can rest. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the remodelling in the front lobby. Since they're in the process of switching over to a Best Western, some disruption is to be expected. With Dominoes Pizza and Jimmy John's within walking distance, this is a good place to stay.

Edna Rogers

The construction made it noisy and messy. They didn't update the website that they are only have sack breakfast. One water bottle, an apple and a small chocolate chip muffin. Beds are very frim. Area nosey. Some staff unfriendly. Expect for one who wanted above and beyond in helping me. Near by a gas station and eating facilities.

The outside of this place looks kind of sketch, but the rooms have been recently remodeled (when we went, it looked like a number of rooms were closed off for remodeling) and look great. The location is awesome. You're right near a few solid restaurant choices, some shopping, and the Fort Wayne Zoo is just minutes away. The hospital is also right next door if things get crazy. The pool was so crowded that it was basically unusable when we were there. Also, we came during COVID times, so breakfast was a sugar overload bag - a piece of fruit, granola bar, and muffins.
