Review of the 4DX experience. Saw Avatar in 4D and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. One of my best theater experiences ever. For those interested in 4D, just know the experience will be hit or miss depending on the movie because certain films are far more well-calibrated for the 4D effects than others. The 4D experience of this theater itself, however, was phenomenal. Just know that 4D might not be for everyone. Imagine a very comfortable back massage chair attached to a roller coaster with air blowing on you. It can be quite an intense experience, but that’s part of the fun and I had an awesome time.

We went to watch a movie in theater 5. During the dialog, we were continually taken out of the moment by raging dinosaurs from the theater to the right and by raging villains and superheroes from the theater to our left. Too bad, because the staff who cleaned our theater did an excellent job just prior to our showing. I'm thinking the sound systems might have been upgraded but not the noise-dampening materials. Dunno.
Baffling Science
Saw my first 4DX movie here. It was all good until there was a scene with hot coffee on the screen, which prompted the aroma of bug killer or some similar poison. Later in the film, there was a scene in a spa, and the calming smell of poisoning chemicals once again wafted into the theater. This happened two or three more times and it ruined the whole experience. I had to leave before the end of the movie due to the overwhelming smell. Someone should really check that the machines are filled before the movie starts. If not, turn it off.

To be clear these are not the large leather recliners most places have now. To say these seats recline is an overstatement as they lean back at most 10 degrees. These are your standard theatre seating.
