Was happy with the VA until now. I called in to have insulin refilled by mail as usual, was sent wrong item and recalled to explain I was out of insulin and was informed by pharmacy that it would take 1 1/2 weeks to get more to me, I explained that I would probably be dead by then but was told it didn't matter and my only option was to wait. Needless to say this has definitely lowered my rating. In the past my life was saved by the VA with an operation to remove cancer, I guess they feel it's now fair that they take what they once saved.

Fresno V.A. has treated me over the past 30+year's,(stroke,cancer,surgerie's(rotator cuff, knee repl.,type 1 diabetes + more. They may not be the #1 rated but I'm living proof that their care is Top Notch !!

They Do not care

They saved my life. Dr.Baylor saved me. The nurses and especially the care takers gave me the best care đ đ

The good son that you are ... would not leave your father homeless either! So why donât you welcome him into âyour Houseâ so he is not homeless!
Hello! I currently work at the VA. All you have to do is go to the VA and ask for the volunteer services office and mary Holden should be able to assist you.
Did you apply? There are benefits for the caregivers that take care of veterans .
no one can get any services from the va if they were dishonorable discharged.
Then don't listen to the first post Berenice, I have been helped and am currently being helped by the VA and know many others who have been helped as well. Yes their mental health is backed up, but they do care and will make sure you're heard, this OP seems to be speaking from frustration not facts, you can request to speak to higher ups, all the way up to the hospital director, you can change providers, you can look into community facilities, you can choose to go Therapy or medicine or both. A PRIME EXAMPLE OF WHY VETS COMMIT SUICIDE IS THIS FATALIST DEPRESSION FUELED OUTLOOK AND OP IS PASSING IT ALONG WITH POSTS LIKE THIS. I have physically prevented a suicide in the past, been treated at mental health, and also worked at the VA, for every story like this there are many many veterans who have followed the process and stayed the path to get the help they need and deserve. Best of luck to you and I wish you a speedy recovery.
To request a VIC, Veterans must visit vets.gov, click on âApply for Printed Veteran ID Cardâ on the bottom left of the page and sign in or create an account. Veterans who apply for a card should receive it within 60 days and can check delivery status of their cards at vets.gov.
Nope
Yes. I recommend at about 50% only based personal experience. Good luck.
If there are any jobs available for a lvn it will be on usajobs
Call Human Resources and they'll help direct you.
They have something called special mode transportation that will pick you up at your residence when your appointment dates bring it to the VA and then return you back home 559 225-6100 I believe the extension is 4031
Yes, you will be screened at the entrance and a mask will will be provided if you do not have one. You you might have to wait a short while though
I believe so get with Decent Affairs Department.
Has he contacted his primary care Dr at the VA?
No they don't
Never seen one there past five years.
I think the Primary Care physician can get the disability placard, or point you in the right direction to procure a disability placard. Good luck!
No it does not (does now 2021)
Check online. There are positions available usually. Good luck!
They dont really have posted visiting hours. Try to go before 1800 and as early as 0800.
They have both Mike. But no chiropractor.
National cemetery administration
I would just go into the emergency department if its after hours or walk in to primary care during regular work hours
You sound overwhelmed. You should call the VA or see a therapist for your own mental health first. They can give you guidance on how to deal with it. As for your husband, you can't really do much for people who refuse to get help.
Call and ask
They should be able to but you should call ahead and ask.
If the veteran is a family member, yes. To just walk in and visit veterans in general I'm not sure, give the main number a call and they'll be able to answer your question.
October i believe also Walgreens offers free flu shots to vets!
Yes, apply and they will evaluate your hearing loss and if the onset was due to your service. You will then be given your results and percentage of coverage. My father was at zero for years. Had him re evaluated and he was granted a small percentage of coverage plus a monetary monthly allotment. Definitely worth looking into.
