Just dropped off a donation and it was a terrible experience. The guy at the gate was extremely rude. He asked me what I wanted twice despite saying I was there with a blanket donation and had spoken with someone prior to coming in. He was in an aggressive stance with bug eyes it was very unnerving and made me uncomfortable. I finally get passed him and drive up to start unloading my car. Not quite sure if I was in the right spot as the guy essentially told me to figure it out. The guy who approached me after also came off like why was I there. I absolutely intruded on their day and was unwelcome. I will not be returning here in the future, I'll find another place to donate that's not going to treat me like an intrusion.

Ok we're on our way
I work at the rescue mission. Other answers say for men only. That is not true, there is a woman's dorm section and some of the woman have children. There is not a child's section with the men. In that sense the mens area is men only. There is no family areas where men and woman are together. Classes will be coed but the men and woman will sit separated. The focus is recoverary on yourself. Distractions of the opposite sex need to be removed to fully focus on yourself and your recovery. I hope that helps
LVRM is geared to assist with mentally disabled residents. Its actually extremely sad. But why wouldn't her aunt help her instead of dropping her off to a money making institute that claims to help people. Personally it's a racket. These shelters are in it for them.
You can also go to the Salvation Army.
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Catholic Charities, and Salvation Army are shelter options. FIT and Nevada Job Connect are good places to seek employment opportunities. Department of Social Services will provide housing assistance and Department of Welfare can provide EBT food assistance.
They have a work program, just show your schedule and check in time is at 6:00 pm and they will tell you the rules of the program. You can call them.
No, we do not.
yes
We serve a hot meal daily from 5pm to 5:45pm. Anyone is welcome to come in for dinner. If you are in need of emergency food boxes, you can come to the front desk during our business hours (8am to 6pm) and they will be able to give you one. Breakfast is served to overnight guests and residents only. Catholic Charities holds a morning meal service that is open to the community.
Yes they would they encourage you to attend work, they have a list of people who work off property and will accommodate you accordingly they also have parking spaces on property for your vehicle

Please visit this webpage for details on how to obtain a bed https://vegasrescue.org/emergencyshelter/.
Yes! we are in great need of blankets right now. Thank you for reaching out!
Hello. Yes they do but you must be in their residential treatment program which is about a year long. It's an AWESOME program one of the best I've seen!
They offer Case management which extends you an additional 3 months if you need it and then you are also referred to Help of Southern Nevada and they also assist with housing needs
I don't think so.This is Google maps. But I would go by and check.Good luck and God Bless

You can contact Woman Development Center on West Sahara. They can help also but still contact LVRM
Do they have to pay for the clothes that go into the store? I dont want them to have to pay for the clothes.
The problem is the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, it's a mostly a men shelter and they have women and family together so there's very little room for others moving into the shelter. You can go to Shady Tree with your children and yourself and fiance can stay at the mission, Catholic charities or salvation army. You should contact safe nest in Las Vegas NV.
Service animals and emotional supprt animals are welcomed
You can stay here if there is room. Intake for new residents is at 6pm. Get in line early. It's clean, shower nice cot and safe. No alchohol
Yes, please call them and see if qualify for intake into the facility.

That's a great question. I'm not really sure. But if you go to there website, and they have a section where you can ask them this question and they'll be able to help you out. God bless Sammy Lozano
You can try the Courtyard and Clark County Social Services to see if they can help with a bus ticket. There isn't an option for a plane ticket.
We are accepting overnight guests. Please visit https://www.vegasrescue.org/emergencyshelter/ for full details on how to go about obtaining a bed.
We are only accepting blankets at this time. Please visit the homepage of the website for updates on when we will start to accept other items again.
Anywhere else that you know of? They said they are getting a milk delivery tomorrow and I want to donate somewhere that might need it more

Yes
Yes
Visit the website for updated information to see if it is possible to get a bed. https://vegasrescue.org/emergencyshelter/
I believe they are still doing the social distance regulations
At this time we do not have any volunteer opportunities with feeding the community meal. This is an evolving process we are working through, so please check our website often at vegasrescue.org. We accept online donations on the website too. Thank you.
Try Catholic Charities
Lutheran Services is historically an organization that assists individuals with identification (birth certificate and local ID. DMV offers one time drivers or state if for homeless at no charge... Call these places ahead of time and form a known plan of action...
Line up b⁴ 2p as it's first come first served basis and I believe you can have a personal bag in dormitory but at check in you and bags will be searched Also breathalyzer is taken before acceptance Good luck n God bless
They work on a week to week basis and have different programs to help people stay off the streets.
If you come as a family (with kids or spouse ) yes they will or if you have proof of work you can leave bags there
Hope and Catholic charities will
They have open dorms for men and women seperate and its 7 days of shelter
Hi Trent. I work at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and I can confirm that we only allow service animals, not emotional support animals.
Las Vegas mission on Bonanza Road is very helpful. They have helped me a great deal. I can't get Vegas about a month-and-a-half ago... Because I lost my wife at 40 years and 7 months later I lost my son.... As long as you try to help yourself they will do everything in their power to help you out. They serve supper at 5. Go there oh, they are great people. They do their best. As long as you stay clean and try to be active and try to get a job they will work with you. I know they have helped me so much without them I don't know where I'd be... Tuna
They cook the food themselves. So, they prefer raw food ready to cook.
Yes they feed at 5 pm everyday.
Not sure call them
This place is not what it used to be now it's all about money the leadership is heartless 💔 and they don't care about people and their needs they profit from the help the government is giving to help others they don't know GOD therefore they have no fear for the outcome
Steak and eggs on " where's the beef day".
Call
All based on availability intake at 3pm and 6pm. Need to go to find out
Might just wanna call or stop by
Absolutely, interior is guarded 24/7. Call ahead for detailed instructions. Peace of the Lord.
You can find a job anywhere.Might not be doing what youvwant. But it's a job.Its easier to find a better job when you already have a job
If you join their drug program you'll only be able to work the jobs they give you and they aren't salary based
I've been homeless and stayed in shelters. Not this one but they're all the same.Dont flash any valubles you may have and mind your own business.
I work at the LVRM and we offer a 7 night shelter if beds are available. There are 2 meals a day. Breakfast and dinner. You must leave property by 6AM and must return by 4PM check in time is between 3 and 4. There are services available to help you
Freddy LVRM is a Christ based recovery program that offers comprehensive services to individuals in search of healing toward a better life. It is @ 1 mile from the Greyhound bus terminal. It is a powerful move into the light of life...
Thank you all
Go to the security gate and the guard will be glad to help you.
If not there try Shade Tree, things change from day to day check daily.
Social Services of Las Vegas NV
Las Vegas Rescue Mission is for men, women and children but you have to check to see if they have room for your family. Check in time is at 6 pm but 3 pm is check in for people already staying there. Salvation Army has room for men and women. Catholic charities has room for only men. So contact 211 on your phone and they could help you with your problem. Joshua, just go to Catholic charities and get a card for being homeless and then can help you get a state ID but by law you have just one month to change your ID to a Nevada State ID.
They accept couples but the mens dorm is desperate from the women's dorm. The only time couples can stay together is when you have kids
On Wednesday morning at 9:30 for women and children and on Friday morning at 9:30 for everyone else.
The bus system (RTC), he must contact someone whom can tell him how to get from there to the Mission
Not Hard at all. Just need to go to Rescue Mission.
The Rescue Mission helps individuals to get the Nevada I.D, Driver license, social security card, and many other related issues. thank you and have a great day in the Lord JESUS CHRIST..........
Hello how are you doing? Well the residential program is by referral usually and if they are full, yes there's a waiting list which you would have to call and place yourself on and find out the technicalities of the program and how to get referred or brought in quicker. Drug Court is usually first priority of who gets into the program.
Yes but you should contact them first
How old is your daughter?
Yes, you can check with the Salvation Army, Catholic charities or the LVRM. Unfortunately it's the weekend so most program personnel will not be able to Monday. But if I was you I would go to the LVRM first. Too see it they have any space for now.
intake is at 3pm for people already check-in and 6pm for new people looking for shelter. It is on a first come first serve basis.
I don't know offhand but contact them by phone

Also the LVRM at 480 W. Bonanza can provide you with an emergency box of food.
If you can go online just put in a list of food banks and that may help you and I know that Central Christian Church on Sunday mornings give away food at 9 but it's better to be there by 8 to wait
By 6:00, if beds are available
As of today all donations will need to be dropped off to the Mission at 480 W Bonanza Rd, Las Vegas 89106. At this time we do not have the staff available to do any pick ups. Check our website for updates on when we will begin to do them again www.vegasrescue.org
First of all, is it food that you need to cook for them? If it is go to the front desk at the mission during the day and they know of places that give out food lots of food for you to cook. And yes they do have a dinner at night every night
Possibly but i have shopped there. They have stuff for a rainy day.
Are you looking to volunteer or are you looking for shelter services?
You will need to call the facility direct and have them confirm the person and the ability for them to receive letters.
Not that I am aware of, however you can call them and ask.
Both, their mission is rehab
480 w. Bonanza rd Las Vegas nevada
Please let us know if there is anything in particular you need help with and we will be happy to advise. Thanks!
Hi Roger, There is a blackout phase for the first six weeks they are here i.e. they are not allowed any personal phone calls or have any visitors. After six weeks they should be in the next phase of the program, and then they may have visitors on weekends. That continues until they commence the program. They may send and receive mail throughout their time here.
You will need to go to the mission for help, support can't be advised online.
Hi Anne Marie, As of 5/17/18 our clothing giveaway house is open to the public each Thursday from 9:30am to 11:30am. On Saturday's Central Church hands out clothes at our location from 8:30am till everything is gone, which is usually by 9am.
Hi Paul, Sorry to say, we do not pick up appliances.
Hi Tyra, We do allow for showers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1:30pm. It is limited to 50 people each day.
They have a thrift store for the items that are not bad to be used within the facility.
I know they serve food, but I don't know about a food bank. I do know thatt Christ the King Church on Tropicana and Torrey Pines has a good pantry.
Your best bet is to call them or go to the gate at approximately 5 pm. If they have room, they will take you in, but no drugs or alcohol is allowed on the property. Great helpful place. Good luck, stay clean..
You can come to the Mission between 8am and 6pm and ask for an emergency food box at the front desk.
Keven Maureen is right best to call first or get there as earlyvas possible i for know people who are looking for beda they get there before 6pm at night. Must be donet othereise forget zero tolarence. Best of luck
Yes they do gently used clothing of all sizes. They also take men's, women's, children's, baby clothes.
Those in need of emergency shelter should come to the back gate on D Street at our location (480 W. Bonanza Rd 89106). First time Mission guest check-in is 6pm and is on a first-come, first served basis. Guests may stay seven nights, possibly longer depending on their circumstances. Dinner, breakfast, a shower and clean linens are provided daily — all free, thanks to our supporters.
I'm sure anytime is good.

Wednesday 3-6pm
Meat: 10 lb bags of chicken leg quarters, 3 lb roll of cooked ham, or a 1 lb log of ground beef, and/or 2 lb block of American cheese. With that is usually a 5 lb sack of potatoes and a bag full of canned goods. This month, they have the 3 lb ham roll and 2 lb block of cheese, 5 lbs of potatoes and a bag of canned goods. That's only for one person though. Larger families get multiple hams and multiple cheese blocks. More of the rest too. Distribution goes by the first letter of your last name. I know A is Monday, S is Thursday, and W is on Friday. 26 letters in the alphabet decided by 5 days a week. I don't know which day gets the extra letter, you would have to call if you have a borderline letter. 8:00-1:30 weekdays. Closed on holidays. Every other month. Free turkey at 3900 E. Bonanza, on November 18, starting at 10:00 a.m. line starts early. Happy Thanksgiving.
Hello im at the mission and before you came call and new intake is a 6pm everyday make sure you will have your car insurance and registration in your name and picture ID.. You most pass the alcohol test.. And is a 1 week the longest you can stay after that you can show proof that you working and talk to the supersivor for extention...
Can you get ahold of him? If you can the mission will let him live there for a year free. And I'm sure they would help him get his disability. Hope It helped Bless you. I will pray for your friend
Yes you can
I would ask some of the other people who frequently use their resources, if anyone knows who he is, or has seen him lately.
You can also sign up online. They will email you a schedule within a few days.
They would have information on how to get it
I’d like to know if the clothing goes to the thrift shop or to the people who need it?
