We stayed here in mid-July. I had booked a room well in advance for one night. I was not impressed. The room was just off of the lobby and was not super clean. The air conditioner was very loud. The only great thing about it was how nice the woman at the front desk (Denise) was at checkin. I have been coming to Wolfeboro every summer for my entire life and have always thought it would be fun to stay at “the best hotel in town.” When I had to come for a quick trip, I was excited to cease the opportunity to stay here. I was not impressed and I won’t be staying here.

Gosh I want to like this place so much because the staff at the front desk have been very kind, but wow…there is really nothing no endearing about this place except for the lakefront property. I knew the moment we pulled in that it was not going to be nice. Right at the front entrance, there is lattice fence falling off from under the restaurant’s decking. The gardens are full of weeds and old mulch. The steps to the water are decaying wood. The dock at the waterfront is completely falling apart. The lobby is dusty and unkept. The rooms. 😬 Our room is dank and drab with remnant of food from the previous guest. The beds are not comfortable. There are stains on the carpet. The shower has zero water pressure. I’ve had more water pressure in an RV! The tiles are cracked in the bathroom. The complimentary soaps in the shower smell awful. I want to like this historic inn, but it’s on par with a Motel 6. There is really nothing about it that’s nice and I truly don’t feel like it’s clean in any way shape or form. I am reluctantly staying here for two nights because I’m on vacation with my family, but I would never stay here again—ever! It needs management to spruce things up and actually care about the appearance and feel of the inn. The place is literally falling apart. Do not recommend.

I'd love to tell you about our experience with spending the night here...but we did not even last that long. My husband and I booked a room here for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived 10 minutes after check in time..we were told the room was not ready and it would be another 10 min. FORTY minutes later..as we sat and watched several guests check in..I inquired again about our room. They guy at the front desk said he would go check on it. When he came back..he said nothing to us...so after 10 min I inquired again. Eventually he got us checked in and stated he would take 15 percent off that night's room charge for the inconvenience ( that actually never happened. We were charged the full rate). When we got into the room..it was clear what the delay was. On the hottest day of the year..the air conditioner in the room was not working. Rather than offer us a different room..they put a rolling floor type air conditioner that was both loud and ineffective. We left the room to go for dinner..hoping it would be a bit more bearable when we returned. Not only was it not...but a Hershey bar I had left on the dresser melted. I decided to take a quick shower to cool off. The shower was barely a trickle..and the shampoo and soap had not been changed in between guests. The trickle of water quickly went from cool..to scalding hot and there seemed to be no way to moderate the water temperature. Meanwhile I noticed thd bottom third of the shower curtain was covered with black mold/mildew. At this point rather than spend an uncomfortable night..we decided to check out and make the 2 hour drive home. When we checked out..the guy at the front desk was pretty nonchalant. He did not seem remotely surprised or interested...and not once did he offer a solution. This makes me think this is just poor management all around. I wrote an email to the GM..but unsurprisingly have not heard back. I am sad..because not only did this experience ruin our anniversary celebration..but also The Wolfboro Inn has been on our bucket list for quite some time..and it is abundantly clear it is not what it once was. I have stayed in 2 star..hundred dollar a night places that were better than than our almost $400/ night room at Thd Wilfboro Inn.

Came here May of 2021 for a short "honeymoon" getaway. While most of the time as spent out in town or surrounding areas, the time we spent in the inn was great. We loved having the restaurant attached and being able to walk to it when we didn't feel like going out for the night. The room we stayed in was a suite on the second floor and it was cozy and clean. Only wished the balcony was bigger but that's just one small thing compared to the rest of the wonderful stay we had. I don't even need to mention the location, but you literally cannot beat it. The sunrises down at the water were nice, with the smell of the lilac bushes completing the relaxing morning. Being able to walk into town is something you miss once you stay somewhere that's not directly in a downtown area.

Hi Bunnie, yes, we serve breakfast from 7am - 11am Monday-Saturday, and from 7am - 10am on Sunday. At 10am Sunday we switch to our brunch buffet.
Hi Glenn, the inn does not rent boats but there are some local places that do. Depending on what you are looking to rent I can recommend Goodhue & Hawkins (5 minutes away), the Wolfeboro Corinthian Yacht Club (next door), or Dive Winnipesaukee for kayaks (one block away).
Not pool table but a great place
It's a large premises with elevator, not a small inn.
