Capital Wine & Spirits Albany offers convenience, great service, and an excellent selection of wines to the Capital District. Located on the corner of Lark St and State Street, this locally-owned shop not only offers wine and spirits to the community but they also host countless tasting events, have been known to provide live musical entertainment, welcome four-legged friends, and even raise money for local charities. Despite all of that, folks come here for the incredible wine selection as well as expert advice as to what to buy. If you're looking more for hard spirits, they stock their shelves in small batch offerings from unique distilleries and distributors. You might find you're paying just a bit more than other liquor stores around town but it's definitely worth it when you consider the service they provide and that you're supporting local businesses. If you haven't been to Capital Wine and Spirits yet, put it on your bucket list...make that your 'wine bucket' list!

The staff are super knowledgeable. It's like having a personal shopper, great prices, great inventory. One time I asked for wines only from female owned vineyards and they were able to build an entire selection.

Hi...We require an actual face mask to enter store (no collars, etc.), masks must be worn properly at all times. We maintain social distancing and limiting the number of people in the store. We wipe all publicly touched surfaces regularly through out the day with clorax, and provide numerous hand sanitizing stations. We ask that customers minimize contact with bottles, and conduct business as efficiently as possible so that others may enter the store. We have a HEPA filter running 24 hours a day, have ceiling fans maintaining air circulation, and when, weather permits, have the front door open.
