The absolute worst online paying experience. Why are you charging me a $1.30 convenience fee for me to not mail you a check?! Gotta mail in forms for auto pay? This isnt 2002. Fix your system.

After a 6 or 7 day water issue (bubbles in the water) I called customer service at MCWA. Friendly and helpful from the start. Today (3/3) a follow up return phone call with Ken Naugle, Production Engineer, in which I experienced a very responsive, detailed, friendly customer service satisfying explanation. Most knowledgeable and respectful during our conversation. From 1st contact to full resolution, less than 24 hrs! Excellent! A very respectable time frame in my opinion. Thank you! Joe Ibbetson

Just wanted to say thank you to the WA workers that fixed a water main break on 1/23/22 in the Hillary Heights neighborhood. It was a freezing 17degrees out in the dark. Thank you and we appreciate you!

Good Morning. You are welcome to call our customer service department at 585-442-7200 for more information.
Hello Ms. Mazzulli - Monroe County Water Authority does not offer insurance. Over the years, there have been several companies that offered insurance for underground water service repairs. I am not familiar with American Water Resources, but they could certainly be a legit company. None of the companies that offer this insurance are affiliated with MCWA, so it would be good for you do some research on them if you decide to purchase such insurance. It is true that if the water line between your house and the street needed repair, it would be the homeowner's responsibility to repair. Consumer service leaks do not happen often, but they can happen. It is certainly your personal choice on whether or not you think the insurance would be worth it. Thank you, Felicia Romagnolo Manager of Customer Services Monroe County Water Authority 475 Norris Dr Rochester, NY 14610
No – MCWA does not offer any credit for metering your lawn irrigation system separately.
Your bill is broken down into two charges: a base charge, and a commodity charge. The base charge is a daily charge to receive service. This will be charged regardless of whether or not water is used, as long as service is active. Our current base charge for the average Monroe County resident is $0.21 per day. This base charge typically accounts for about $20.00 of every quarterly bill. A commodity charge is the charge for consumption. Our current rate for Monroe County residents is $3.26 per thousand gallons (rates may differ for out of county customers, or customers with larger sized meters). Please feel free to contact our customer service department – (585)442-7200 – with any further questions. Office hours are Monday thru Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Mr. Kay, Thank you for your inquiry. MCWA was notified by 911 dispatch of an emergency main break very early this morning. A crew was called in for an emergency repair, and service was restored shortly before 5:00 AM this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department – (585) 442-7200 – with any further questions.
The property house number is just the number portion of the street address. For example, if the address is "123 Main St" you will enter "123" as the house number.
