I absolutely love this organization. They take so much time and care to organize all these little pieces of our lives. I'm always treated kindly and with respect.

Please train staff to be more professional even in this type of environment.

They will gladly accept all Kindle and similar type electronics working or not. They have an IT department that will determine whether it is possible to repair or should be recycled. Their website says they do recycle all type of electronics that are not too bulky for one person to lift and carry. Some restrictions apply to CRTs
Hi Brenda, yes, you can call during weekday business hours and someone ought to be able to help you. 607-257-9699
We do not accept unframed/loose glass.
Yes you can take all kinds of magazines. You can just drop them off at the Reuse Center.
Every day except for Thursday, 10am-6pm per their website.
We do not.
They do carry appliances.
Occasionally we have gutter in the outdoor area.
Sanitization at the door, masks required
Yes as long as they are clean and bagged up.
We have furniture at Ithaca ReUse Center (214 Elmira Road), Triphammer ReUse Center and ReUse Community Hardware (2255 N. Triphammer Road in Triphammer Marketplace).
It's a thrift store that does carry a lot of home improvement stuff. Inventory changes depending on the time of year and what's donated, but they usually have a pretty good supply of most things and it's definitely worth checking out. And if Finger Lakes Reuse doesn't have what you need for some reason, you can also find a good supply of doors and windows etc. at Significant Elements which is just around the corner at 212 Center st. I believe its a bit higher end, but still fraction of what this stuff would cost new.
You can donate them but please note that there is a $15 ($13.89+ Sales Tax) handling fee for all CRT monitors and all-in-one CRT monitor computers (e.g. iMac G3 computers).
Hi Denise, Thank you for your message. We are offering pickups of materials in Tompkins County as long as the items can be available on a covered front porch, inside a garage with the door open or on the driveway under a tarp when we arrive, now for a $40 fee. Fill out our pickup request form HERE: https://ithacareuse.org/pickup/ We are not allowing our workers to enter homes or be in proximity of donors and appreciate your cooperation with this. You can find the list of items we accept here: https://ithacareuse.org/donategoods/
Yes we do, we reuse what we can, and reaponsibly recycle the rest! Thanks for asking.
You can fill out a request on our Wish List at https://ithacareuse.org/wishlist/ and we will contact you if we have the item you are looking for.
You can make an appointment at ithacareuse.org/shop or call (607) 257-9699. Walk-ins may be permitted, depending on available capacity at the time.

They don't buy anything. It's all donations
Yes, I have found quality carpet at the downtown location, very reasonably priced. Occasionally you can find very large pieces, and if you call the store, one of the staff can tell you what they have in stock on any particular day, the size, condition, price etc.
