A woman overdosed in the magnolia house and passed away. An officer told us literally that the person who supplied the substance to her would not have anything happen to her because she "knows" numerous police officers. This is the problem with our system and our glorious boys in blue. We are not free and we are only protected by what is decided, not what is JUST! To hell with those officers and TO HELL TO THE IPD!

If my landlady and my roomates experience are any indication, these guys do a good job. My landlady is a police officer and she is always very cool headed and takes things seriously when it comes to business. My roomate is a night time delivery driver and he has regailed me of how good the IPD is. He of course has had to call on their help enough times that he has a good idea of how they work.

Last night (October 7, 2017), my friends and I were stopped by someone on Hudson street, a little past midnight. This guy insisted he was a Cornell music student, surveying people on the streets. He kept trying to ask us where we were going and where parties were at, documenting everything we said. It was clear to us in an instant that he was an undercover cop, but I humored him a little. He had a horrible cover (I asked him about how students went to Cornell, he didn’t know, I asked him how many frets a cello has, the instrument he says he played, he didn’t know (it has none)). If you want to put your trust in a police department that sends out undercover police officers to try to bust some college kids having fun, so be it. Absolutely scummy thing to do. And to the IPD, next time you try, at least get someone who has a better cover. Even I in my Saturday midnight condition saw right through him (I forget his name). Shame on you IPD for sending out undercover police officers to take advantage of inxtoxicated people, just trying to have a good time. Shame on you.
