My experience of Island Fitness is 90% at the Corners gym. Pros: Clean facilities. Kind, helpful and polite staff. Impressively trained and knowledgeable trainers. Nonjudgmental, accepting staff and clients (i.e, a non hierarchical atmosphere that welcomes everyone from the super-fit to couch potatoes.) Cons: Limited range of basic strength building machines. Too many treadmills, several of which could be replaced with newer strength machines for building a balanced musculature. No patrolling fitness coach to correct people who are doing exercises in potentially harmful ways.

Island Fitness is exactly that— an island I can go to— to work off worry, concern, and tension. The warm water pool helps me maintain and increase flexibility. I love looking out the big windows season by season and meditating on life.

They have a bag and gloves but not a dedicated gym for boxing. A trainer can set you up

I dont work there, but i would go in person and bother them until they give to give you job, if you really want to work there
