O.A.R.S. is a fabulous company with wonderful people! Everyone from their admin staff to experienced river guides were wonderful. My family books yearly river trips with O.A.R.S. and we keep coming back to this company. We had a great time on the Rogue beer trip this year and would highly recommend to anyone! Happy paddling!

We went on the 5 day Rogue River trip this August (2014). The trip was well organized and efficient. The guides were unflaggingly cheerful and helpful, and were extremely knowledgeable about the area wildlife. The food was excellent! We had hot dry weather the entire week. The water was warm at this time of the year, so almost all of the kids spent a significant amount of time in the river as we floated along. In fact on the last couple of days our water assaults on the Jet Boats, and the playful paddle boat guide, made sure that the kids were constantly soaked. The rapids were challenging enough for paddling novices to get their adrenaline going but not so scary that the little kids and old folks (me) were scared. The wildlife was amazing, as was the beauty of the Rogue canyon and the surrounding hills. We saw bears, bald eagles, osprey, salmon, newts, turtles, and lots of deer. We saw a mama bear with three little cubs right across the river from our camp! The guides stopped at a number of places along the river for us to enjoy notable jump rocks, a natural water slide that we hiked up to, and swimming holes created by the creeks that flowed into the Rogue. They knew all the safe "swimming rapids" and other neat spots. I would recommend this or a similar trip to anyone who loves the outdoors. It was an ideal vacation for our outdoorsy teenaged son. We are looking forward to doing other rafting trips next summer because now we are hooked.

My boyfriend & I have been on 4 (Rogue, Klamath, S. Fork American, Ranch & Raft Cataract Cyn on the Colorado River) rafting trips with OARS and we love this company. This was probably the best in every category for us so far. The price was absolutely great for 5 days, 4 nights. The river had lots of variety (waterfalls, creeks, abundant wildlife; we saw a bear & lots of deer up n close, museum, water jumping holes, beautiful hikes, wild vegetation and best of all, great rapids). We got to surf rapids and prepare for Mule Creek Cyn (1 mile run of non stop 3 & 4 rapids) which will prob be the most exciting for you adventurers. For those not knowledgable about NorthWest climate, you get sunshine & rain. We did a few days in OR outside of the rafting trip during July...it's not SoCal weather so def bring a sweater or two. As far as the river, we experienced about 2 nights of thundering, lightning and pouring rain at camp...yet we still embraced the beauty of it all. The food is always excellent with OARS. You're hardly ever hungry bc you get 3 meals (all u can eat) a day and snacks in between. OARS truly sets the bar for 1st class whitewater rafting adventures.

We did a wonderful 4-day trip on the Rogue River in June. Our guides did a great job - they're not only good in boating - the are also really good cooks! the paddling during the day was awesome and the time in the night camps just comfy and worth to remember. Rogue River is a good spot for a boating adventure - not to hard but also not too easy. It got everything of it. OARS is well equipped. Everything is in order and kept well. The food is as mentioned before just great - and they did serve on our tour a lot of regional and organic food.
