I have eaten here many times, and I made sure to bring my wife here on her first trip to NOLA. Unfortunately the service was subpar. We ordered drinks and my wife got hers but mine never arrived. I finally had to ask somebody to check on my drink. Once we finished our entrées to when we got the check took almost 45 minutes. This was due to nobody coming back to check on us. Even after desert we waited 15 minutes to get the check which was not even correct. The check had on it our side dish that never had came, and when I pointed out that we were charged for the dish the waitress just said OK let me correct it. No apologies for the mistake, just walked away and brought it back. I will probably go back one more time but a place of this caliber should never have bad service. The staff is such an important part of the dining experience. The food can be outstanding but if your servers are not bringing their A game(or B game) then the dining experience is going to suffer.

Easily lives up to it's reputation as one of the best countries in US. And very reasonably priced for the level of service and the quality of food and wine. This was my 5th time here and it always exceeds expectations! The Turtle Soup, any fish entree, and the bread pudding would let any person die happy! You're also not going to go wrong with anything else! Enjoy!

Underdelivered on my expectations. I waited seven years to try out Commanders Palace and among the plethora of restaurants that offer creole cuisine you can find in New Orleans, there are other restaurants I would recommend over this restaurant that are more budget friendly and have better food. However, the staff was nice and as a woman.. was always taken care of first over the men at the table and that was noticed. Drinks were made perfectly. Food selection was lack luster and unfortunately… a side I had ordered was not brought out to me during my time there. Overall I believe you are mainly paying for aesthetic when coming here.

Around $100 if you order drinks
Sure!❤ And I Will Always Love You❤!
They serve all types of drinks. I'm sure there is a bar, I just never saw one. The place is very big with many dining areas. I'm sure one of them has a bar. But the draw here is the food and the dining expieince.
The sign says no shorts. Other than that, it appears to run the gamut. Some people are very dressy, others are a bit relaxed.
Yes. They sent me away because i had fancy shorts on. Also was scrutinized in a super judgey manner.
It depends upon the size of the group AND when you want it. We made our reservation for Christmas eve 4 or 5 weeks in advance. They were packed when we got there
Are the 25 cent martinis available at lunch on Saturdays also?
I was there on a Saturday. I think it's the same specials as during the week. The 25 cent drink special is on (I was sad because I didn't know about it until after I'd ordered a drink). There is a dress code. Definitely need to wear long pants and they prefer no jeans. Check their website for the full dress code
I would highly recommend you to make a reservation as far in advance as possible regardless of day off the week or which meal of the day.
Business Attire Jackets are preferred for gentlemen Collared shirts and closed-toe shoes required for gentlemen No shorts, flip-flops, t-shirts, sweat shirts or sweat pants Jeans are discouraged; ripped jeans are not allowed
Parking on the street is possible, but difficult to find a spot close to restaurant. Always better here to use free valet.
Yes, be on time or early and check the dress code! It's a very busy restaurant.
Regular size martini glass
They have a seasonal menu and specials. They do ask about allergies but always good to call in advance.
Yes I believe so. The wait staff is incredibly nice.
Chris we went in with dresses and still were underdressed. You will want a nice pair of dress pants shirt and tie if possible.
With booze, and tip, plan on 100-150. But I also drink heavily.
Yes , Request the Garden Room you will love it . Get the turtle soup and banana's foster for dessert or even the infamous bread pudding souffle .
Dress code no shorts, no flip flops, casual or nice, no blue jeans etc. Their not that shuffle, their big thing is no shorts, no jeans, no flip flops. Dress at least casual.
I believe they told me Alligator Snapping Turtles. I am positive about the Snapper part but I was too busy looking around and staring at the delicious menu and may be mistaken about the first part.
Should call restaurant for response 2 your question.
But of course, just tell your waiters
Silly and specific question to ask on Google. Why don't you call the restaurant about booking a private event. You will never get an answer on Google
Best to phone and ask. Pretty formal place. If you can afford the dinner, you should splurge for the call! However it is worth it. Wonderful place!
It's a nice place. But decent Bluejeans or Kakis and a polo shirt with a collar is fine. I assure you if your credit card is approved that's all that really matters.
Nice jeans are okay, no rips. No shorts, no sneakers. I wore a dress and flats, my husband wore nice jeans, a polo, and dress shoes.
I am certain that they do. They took ours a few weeks ago.
No
It will be pricey but the service and quality of food will be remembered by each of your guests.
Yes there is a dress code. Think of it as business attire or Sunday brunch after church wear.
They have their menu posted online https://www.commanderspalace.com/cuisine/ that might help
Jacket not required, but button down shirt or collared shirt is required. They ask for business casual.
You can also order the gift card from their website, commanderspalace.com.
I'd advise many weeks ahead for weekends
Yes! We brought our 4 year old to brunch (for his bday) and they were very sweet to him. They also have "kids meals" but you have to ask, not on the menu of course.

Commander's Palace
Saturday and Sunday
The menu is online so you can see the prices.
Steve has got it right. However, you will get treated better if you go ahead and wear a collard dress shirt and coat. At least penny loafers. Think about it. Who would you rather wait on...
I wouldn't recommend it for dinner for sure. I met someone here who wasn't allowed in at lunch for wearing shorts and lunch is a more relaxed dress code.
M-F, 11.30 - 1.30
We were there on a Monday and they had them.
Most men wore jackets. Definitely expensive, but worth the cost. Mostly alacart.
Yeah, no jeans and sneakers (tennis shoes) sport coat for gentlemen. Someone told me if you don't have a jacket, they will provide one but I'm not sure.
There are seven separate dining rooms. Most likely there will be a place for you.
I think it's up to you. We went to dinner and I was without a jacket. Lunch should be relaxed and with .25 Martinis whose to notice? We sat on the patio in a beautiful spot and if anyone cared it was their problem not mine. Bon appetit!
The others who say there is no set price are correct. The price depends on which entree you order, but is set after that unless you order extra sides. But consider the monumental cost of not going - no brunch at Commander's Palace!
The place is high end. People going in and out are dressed nicely! It's elegant dining!
No shorts allowed. Men must have a collared shirt. No open toe shoes for men. In other words, dress up!
No jeans and no shorts allowed. My husband was turned away wearing shorts even with a reservation. We came back the next day and it was worth it!
Closed Christmas
Not too strict if it's a slow night. Wouldn't push it if it's busy
