I was there yesterday. Someone questioned them while I was waiting and they said they are running about 2 weeks behind. After a month of calling to get a busy signal or no answer, I emailed them...eventually they called me back. There are only 4 people working there right now.

You should call the child support hotline and MAKE SURE that they have you documented for the back pay. They'll keep taking the extra money out until you call! And then months later you'll receive a check for the over payment. As far as DMV goes, i would think a couple days to a week. Its all electronic so in theory it should be right away

I'm almost positive you can switch the plates into your name when u register u can always call and ask

The DMV website gives full details, tells you what you need to include. You can mail them in, or drop off with security at front door. Then they will call you and tell you when it's ready to pick up your plates. Pretty easy, took us a little over a week.

No you have to go online and make a appt.... Or you can print off the forms and drop them off and wait for a call... Personally I would drop the paper work off at wampsville dmv much faster

All depends what you are doing they only do license by appointment the rest of stuff they got a drop off box then they call you to come pick up plates

Rome dmv told me 14-20 days. Wampsville had it done in 3 days.

If you don't have access to the internet, you should be able to pick up the forms from the DMV. Depending on your location. I know the Rome DMV has them outside during business hours. You can fill out the forms and include the necessary documents copies and all and mail it in.

I was guided to put plates in envelope with $1 in the drop box. however they have not mailed a receipt to me nor have they obviously updated their records, and i'm now being threatened through Albany about suspension.
