Went for breakfast at 930a, Great staff- waitresses are attentive and friendly. If you become a regular eater here... can absolutely tell your like family. The food is pretty much Great. I ordered a 3 piece French Toast with side of patty sausages. Half order of Biscuits and Gravy. The gravy is not thick, good consistency. Has sausage mixed into it... but still slightly bland, so you can't taste the sausage or country gravy taste (could use little more of the sausage drippings or crustaceans mixed in for little more stronger sausage taste - IMO) but still good because I think if you can salt and pepper your gravy yourself than it made right for everyone to do so as each likes. The French Toast is texas toast thick so unless you have a huge appetite I reccomend only 2 pieces. Taste like regular French Toast - (I may ask if they can add cinnamon or teaspoon of vanilla to my batter just to give it a little yummy.) Daughter ordered BLT (fyer doesn't get turned on until 11am so choices of chips is the only option before.) BLT's made with regular bread your choice (wheat), bacon lettuce, mayo, tomatoes. Bacon cooked well, not too crispy or under cooked, so when eating can easily bite and crumbles for chewing. Good amount of bacon comes on it. She added side of pickles (sliced dill - very fresh and crispy/perfect for sandwiches and burgers). Side salad is standard bowl; comes with romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, sprinkle cheese. (If you consider a side salad make sure hungry because good portion), she got Ranch dressing/Really good Ranch. Canned beverages for pops, Tall glasses for fountain drinks (when available) traditional tea available. Easy social distancing and sanitary. Can order To Go or Dine In. Located in downtown Somonauk, IL. Convenient street parking in front of the building or side. Credit cards accepted and Cash accepted.

Not a good morning.😒 Hardly anyone there. Lots of open tables. No one helped. We waited almost 10 minutes and then my husband had to ask for menus and ☕ coffee. We ordered. Then our breakfast took 35 min to make... so slow. The 🥞 pancakes are good! Too bad they don't have spinach for my omelet. Waitress tried to make up the lack of service so that was nice.

Questions & Answers

Yeah I had breakfast here once again. I had two country fresh eggs and an order off hash browns and a chocolate milk. Hay yes and when the bill came I was really taken out of my socks. It was all just under $6.00.

Always great food but was upset today when i ordered the mexican skillet and was told they only have it on the weekends when i purposely went online first to see if it was on there menu and there it was and it doesn't say anything about a special or weekend only so i didnt eat cause unfortunately once you crave something like that nothing will fulfil that taste. When i was paying for more familys bill i expressed my concerns to the person checking us out and the blew it off and was told yeah during the week you S.O.L. on that. I was also told the other day a family asked about allergens in there food for there child and tge cook refused to check labels. Wow i guess we dont care about are customers at all. Country kitchen lost us as customers.
