Paid $8 for two small boxes. They won't even give you a piece of tape. I'll use UPS any chance I get. If I have to use the USPS I will go to a rural office where they are a little more customer friendly.

Postal worker here! That's a tough one to answer. It really depends on where you drop the letter off and the facility it goes to. If you drop it into a collection bin then I'd say no it wouldn't get post marked until Monday. If you take it to a facility then it's going to depend on the time and location. A large processing and distribution center like the Taft rd one uses a machine to post mark and they dont run that machine on sundays but a smaller post office that uses a roller stamp to post mark letters could. But again that all depends on the time, volume of current mail in the stream, and who is working. I'd say you have about a 85% chance of it not being post marked on Sunday. Smaller chance during peak holiday season
Postal worker here. No the mailboxes are not owned by the usps. They are owned by the apartment complex. They would have to issue a new key
