We went at dusk and you could see the New London lighthouse from almost any part of the beach. The sunset was also amazing and all in all it's a great place to just hang out and have a picnic.

Nice little beach. Great to visit in the off season, as well. That's when I tend to visit. Beautiful views of the sound, and surrounding area.

Beautiful little beach, generally well kept. It's gotten a bit expensive for a day's entry, but a season pass is well worth it if you can make it out here. Big enough to not feel cramped, small enough to be cozy.

You need a beach pass fir Eastern Point Beach or you pay to get in from 8 am to 8 pm before and after its free.
Yep! In fact there's a little section of the beach near the parking lot area that has a sign that says no swimming or wading that I saw ppl fishing at, it looked perfect for it 👌

How much is the fee for out state
It's open 24/7. However, between 8am-8pm there's a fee and/or passes required to enter. Before and after those hours you may walk or drive in. There was a time, some years ago, that a gate kept cars out after certain hours., only allowing foot traffic through, but no more. For those of us who love and enjoy this beautiful spot, we ask all to be respectful of this wonderful place.😎 Thank you.
I'm not sure we checked it out around 7pm. Gates weren't closed but no one in the booth.

I don't think there is access from beach here. You could prbly launch at inlet next to it, though.
Yes if you're lucky you might see a passing Submarine which is a good thing since you are at the Submarine capital of the world
I believe if you are from the city of Groton there is no charge!
