Incredible brunch/lunch food! Ham, cheese, and egg on croissant melts in your mouth! Egg, tomato, mushroom, cheese, and egg on thickly sliced sourdough is hearty and tasty. Side potatoes are perfectly soft inside with just the right texture skins outside. Seasoned with garlic or something. Outdoor patio seating is great for some sun.

This is a nice butterball pastry cafe, but they serve no plant based options. There are other places in Santa Barbara providing at least one option, but here, nothing. Butter and sugar are easy. And yes, Renaud’s showcases skill, but mostly, it just offers addictive and boring foods: sugar and butter, nothing nuanced or layered. Our world is changing. The ecological cost of dairy makes a Renaud’s outing more expensive than the high priced croissants. Eventually they will need to adjust. For now, I wish they’d offer just one vegan option—I bet they’d rock it.

Food & coffee were good, but the man who took our order was extremely rude. He made an error and when I asked for correction he glared at us and stomped around. He created a bad look for the entire restaurant! He didn't say thank you or use any niceties whatsoever!

I've been eating Renaud's croissants for a long time now without really knowing. I frequent Handlebar and from time to time I'll indulge in a croissant. Little did I know they were coming from Renaud's! I went to this location for the first time a few days ago. It's small and simple, with a quiet but friendly employee. I went for the chocolate croissant, but decided to ask for it in French -- "pain au chocolat". I paid and waited for my friend to also order and pay. We were about to leave, when I reached in the bag to pull out my croissant, when I noticed it wasn't a croissant but something else. I kindly told the employee who apologized for mis-hearing me and put the chocolate croissant in my bag with the other pastry he mistakenly gave me. I tried to give the mistaken pastry back but he said to please keep it and that now I can try something new. I thought that was a very kind gesture. Nevertheless, this place makes a delicious croissant, chocolate or not!

Relatively safe!! One person is in the store to order, seating is all outside, and one of the employees will bring your items out to you or call you name
You should reach out diectly to them. Posting here only reaches other Google maps users.
