Super fun, super crowded. Good life guard staff

Great pool on a hot day. It can get pretty crowded so getting a spot early is a good idea.

CHRC is the best part about being a local to Cottonwood Heights. Lifeguard staffing shortages were a bust in 2022 but hopefully they are more prepared next summer.

Life guards are very aggressive and Extremely rude! They were singling me out of all swimmers and threatening to ask us to leave as they are using parents is lifeguard since they’re short staffed and very rude about it. I will never go back to the pool again where after paying and out rages entrance fee and having the kids with life jacket on they are still pestering you over getting into the pool when most kids in the pool are not even wearing lifejackets. The grounds are full of trash, cans that no one is cleaning. Would not recommend to anyone!

The splash pool is a bit warmer than the lap pool, when you factor the influx of pee
Yes, it's public
Until 4.
Yes, they have indoor pools too. They just hold class inside when the weather is bad.
The Outdoor Pool is back to normal operating hours. Monday - Friday: 12pm - 8pm, Saturday: 12pm - 6pm, Sunday: 11am - 4pm. Please refer to our website to see all the up to date hours. Have a nice day!
Outdoor lap swimming is Tuesday's and Thursday's 10 to 2 or 2:30. Indoor is open most of the time. Pool opens May 28th.
It's open
The Lifeguards are actually very nice, (knowing some of them personally). They go through extensive training and know CPR. Don't hate on them just because your kid doesn't know how to swim.
Only fridays. Mindays are private practices
No hot tub or sauna outside but possibly inside with the Olympic pool
$4.50 for 3-17 years of age. Over 18 is $5.50. There is a senior price and 3 and under are free.
Outdoor pool has been open since Memorial Day weekend. Schedule is posted online at cottonwoodheights.com, but outdoor open plunge typically begins each day at 12pm.
Not yet. Due to weather, the pool should open by July 4th weekend
It is best to call and ask them. Even if it was posted on their site, sometimes its not exactly accurate.
12-5pm Sundays
I wouldn't trust the site even if it were up. The best thing to do, especially when seeking seasonal hours, is to just call the main number and dial the operator. I have found with almost every Recreation Center in the valley that we go to, there's always someone manning the phones (unless they are totally closed that day). Then you can get updated information for the day you're looking for. Works for our family every time!
They have all and much more
To 8 😊
Yeah by the pool and the track entrance
Yes by the pool
Opens memorial day weekend. In the summer hours are typically 12-8 for public use.
Standard hours are 11am-2pm, and 6pm-9pm. It is currently spring break, they may have extended hours.
You may have to call and find out
I don't believe so. The recreation center is mostly for physical activity and has youth programs for swimming, ice skating, tennis, etc. There might be youth programs for the arts at other community centers in the city.
On Fridays, the time is 7p to 9p. They do have a new fall weekly schedule now.
