My mother is in assisted living at La Pasada. She's been there for about a year. We moved her from Your Life (NEVER SEND A LOVED ONE THERE!). For the past year, my mother has received NOTHING but love and care from the most wonderful staff. From Lily (sales) to Alecia (overseas Assisted and Memory Care) to Carol and Ange, just 2 of the amazing nurses. They care for my mom like family. It is a blessing knowing that when I don't visit, that she is safe and well taken care of. My mother is now moving to their Memory care facility and the empathy and dignity they have shown have been priceless. I can't say enough good about this facility.

Nursing staff is unprofessional. The time it takes for a nurse to respond after pressing the call button is unethical. My dad could be having a medical emergency and it takes 15-20 minutes for someone to respond after pressing the call button. Sometimes longer. I went in to see my dad one day and there were two towels just thrown on the floor to wipe up a spill nobody wiped it up they just threw the towels on the spill and left. Some CNAs are very rough with my dad when they go to change him I had to tell them to be gentle. Foods always missing off the tray for lunch and dinner. One night they even came with just a scoop of tuna and some cottage cheese and said they ran out of food in the kitchen. Always low on supplies never have clean sheets or blankets or cream for diaper rash. It's so expensive because they spend more money on the beautification process outside than they do on decent staff on the inside or having enough supplies. They can't afford to have enough sheets and blankets or medical supplies but they can afford all the palm trees on the outside. It just goes to say what looks nice is always nice outside appearances are deceiving. Just because it looks nice on the outside doesn't mean it's nice on the inside

They put on a good show, but to me, it’s was all talk no walk. Yes they have an eec license, but level of care is basic. Total lack of communication, lack of responsibility. I LITERALLY SAW A WOMAN STUCK ON THE TOLIET FOR 20-25 MINUTES BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD ANSWER HER EMERGENCY CHIME. IN THE END I THINK ITIS A STAFFING PROBLEM. To be fair, nurses and therapists are inundated with paperwork, not allowing time for compassionate care. We got a three day notice, that our other was being released, without any medical equipment. Than two days to say, no wheelchair as well. This gave us 2days to prep for release, it’s a joke. I can’t in good conscience not reccomend, as there are not many options for skilled nursing care.

Very nice staff, residents actually looks happy. The place is clean and well managed.
