Crowded this season, staff said there’s no typical off peak since pandemic. Many people work from Tahoe. So if you’re a beginner who’d prefer a less crowded wide green trail, go other resorts. …

An amazing 2 hour lesson at Tahoe. The instructor was very friendly and we were able to ski at the end of the lesson on a medium slope

My husband and I took Ski lessons here on Thursday, since both of us hadn’t been since we were teenagers, and had such a great time!! The lessons included the rentals, which is such a great deal, and lasted 2.5 hrs - nearly twice as long as some other nearby resorts per my research 🤓 It was super easy to get to, and the free parking is still super close to the check in kiosks and rental store! Everyone in the store was so friendly and patient with slightly lost beginners, and we had plenty of time to get our boots, skis, a locker, and a quick snack before our lesson started! With covid precautions, they’re only doing private lessons, so you end up with a truly impactful one on one experience! Cheryl, our instructor, was AMAZING! I’m a bit scared of heights/not knowing how to do something, and she taught us the “basics” in a way that made me feel like I finally understood what I was doing. She made sure to keep with our comfort level but encouraged us to push ourselves, and by the end of the lesson I didn’t want to stop! I HIGHLY recommend Sierra at Tahoe, not only for a great lesson, but the entire experience, especially the incredible snow! Plus their Sugar n’ Spice ski trail looks amazing so we will definitely keep practicing to come back and try it!

When I called last week, they said April 21.
Hi Caroline, the only one i am aware of is free skiing/boarding for active duty every sunday. You can call the pass office to confirm our check their website also.
I am sorry I don't know
I don't remember seeing a private changing area. But in the restrooms I believe there was an area you could use to change. Also, I believe the restroom stalls were fairly large if you want something more private.
$174 for two in think is what i saw
There are a couple of places in Strawberry that rent gear too, but it's pretty limited
I do lessons for snowboarding and skiing. If interested get ahold of me.
The casinos are usually priced pretty aggressively. Or anywhere in South Tahoe.
There are lockers, but they are not free
No, Sierra is closed since mid April, they'll open again most likely early December (hopefully earlier)
Too bad for those having bdays during the summer tho, if they were.
Go to the ticket office and tell them you have the Subaru pass. Show them anything they ask for and you should have no problems getting it.
Lift stops at 4. Skied a few seasons never saw a change
There are many within a 25min drive. South Lake Tahoe is close by.
Ask someone in front for a buddy pass .or discount ticket with their season pass
Nope, sorry. But there is a sort of morning service on Sundays sometimes on the mountain.
Call in to the resort for your best chance at getting a deal.
No free area at Sierra. But there is a snow park very close by right off of the 50. Bring your own tube or sled and it will be free
We don't have opening dates depends on weather as we are 100% organic and do not make snow as we have decent base 3 ft at the top possibly weekend of thanksgiving depends on what the next storm brings.
