This Non-profit Agency offers a variety of self-help tips through other agency's. To help individuals strengthen their personal life in many ways. Just to name a few options: Counseling, Life Skills, Housing resources, and probably more options. I'm still enquiring of their services available for myself :) Donations for breakfast, lunch snacks and dinner would help them tremendously..... please and thanks

I have volunteered for the gathering inn quite a few times. They are really trying to help people and it is a really great service. I also have donated money and sleeping bags blankets. They can always use the supplies.

Do I have to be a Placer County resident to get help here?

Victor Sorrell | Feb 7, 2021
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 8, 2021

Afternoon Victor, Yes, The Gathering Inn does need proof of Placer county Residency to provide assistance. We may be able to help walk you through that process and what counts as placer county residency if you call 916-791-9355 we can assist you further. Thank you for being interested in The Gathering Inn and I hope we are able to assist you and help you further.

I saw below about clothing and blanket donations, but are diapers acceptable? I have a partial box of diapers that my baby has grown too big to use. Any other baby items that may be of use or on the look out for?

Danniell Edwards | Feb 7, 2021
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 8, 2021

Thank you so much for being interested in donating to The Gathering Inn. At this time we would not be accepting diapers or other baby items as we have no babies currently at our shelter. We can recommend calling Kids First as they may be able to use such items. Once again thank you for thinking of us!

With Covid happening, is The Gathering Inn still accepting clothing donations? Our church has partnered with The Gathering Inn but they are not accepting clothing donations due to state restrictions.

Carrie Schleicher | Feb 7, 2021
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 8, 2021

Yes, we are currently taking donations again. Mostly winter items and toiletries. (Water Ponchos, Socks, Underwear, Coats, Sweaters, Shampoo, Conditioner, Razors, Etc.) Thank you for thinking of us and the support.

I'm 17 and need a place where can I go if I'm not from placer

Hailey linstroth | Feb 7, 2021
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 8, 2021

We do only take 18+ without a parent or guardian accompanying the individual & serve Placer County only. But if you want to call our main line at 916-791-9355 we can get your information and connect you with a case manager who may be able to provide some further resources to get you in a good safe spot. Thank you for reaching out - The Gathering Inn.

I'm 17 and need a place to stay what do I do

Hailey linstroth | Feb 7, 2021
Drew Sharp | Feb 8, 2021

I think this homeless shelter is for those 18 and over they require a Placer County California photo I'd. I'd contact the county welfare or mental health office to get you in the right direction of a young adult program. Good Luck.

I’m trying to get info on the “Adopt a meal” and not getting a response from the main number and unable to leave voicemail for the contact person listed on the website (Brian). How do I get into?

Valerie Callaway | Feb 8, 2020
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 9, 2020

Our Contact is Michael, have you tried calling his number @ (530) 885-8119. If that doesn't work please call our main number at 916-791-9355 where are admin can reach out to him or we can figure something out for our South Placer Program. Sorry for the delay in response and thank you for your support.

I have a box full of toiletries from hotels along with a few extras I have added. Are you accepting, and is there a time to drop off that's best?

K S | Feb 8, 2020
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 9, 2020

Yes, we are. The Resource Center is open 8 am - 3 pm 7 days a week so those times would be the best to come drop off. We have a location in Roseville and Auburn. Thank you so much, we truly appreciate it!

I'm new here and the homeless shelter will not accept me because I'm not a residence of Roseville I'm from Sacramento I just got back from Oklahoma and I'm looking for a place just to crash for the night or it's safe?

Miles Smith | Feb 8, 2020
The Gathering Inn (Owner) | Feb 9, 2020

Placer County Health & Human Services has been great help, so I suggest going to your local county office. You should take as much personal documentation as possible. You end up w assistance the very same day, especially if you have children.

& Being that I am also in Bad Need Of Your Mental Health Counseling is there anyway I Can Come In for Permanent Housing & for a safe shelter to go to & stay at From Today on please? If so what time do I need to be there by?

Victoria Stallard | Feb 8, 2019
Heather Hart | Feb 9, 2019

Check in is at 3pm . I think you have to talk to Kim first. She is in the day room. You go on a bus to a different church daily. The church feeds you dinner. When in the day room you can ask for info about place county adult system of care. They can help you with transitional housing and mental health referrals. There is also Cirby Hill's mental health Services.
