We came for a special occasion and it was the highlight meal of our weekend at Stowe. The view from the patio was spectacular and the food was equally great. However, we were most impressed with the exceptional service from both our server Anna and the Manager. Anna was especially attentive as evidenced when she noticed my steak was slightly overdone and proactively offered to have it re-made. The manager then also came by to apologize and offered a soup or salad while the entrée was being re-made. Contrary to previous reviews stating otherwise, we were thoroughly impressed by the service we received in addition to the food/views and will be back next time we are in Stowe.

Wow! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! We called to ask about sitting at the bar for dinner-- they said the bar is 1st come 1st serve starting at 5pm. There are only 8 seats at the bar. The rest of the actual tables require reservations and they are booked two weeks out for dinner. We sat at the bar tonight. The ambience is modern rustic. We loved all of the lit candles and the fireplace. I ate the salmon and my friend ate the brisket. Both were the best meals we've had on this trip! Also, although not listed on their menus or website, they can modify menu items to be gluten free! We also ordered dessert- I had the flour-less chocolate cake (also gluten free) and my friend had the pear pastry dessert. What an experience! Overall our 2 meals plus 2 drinks plus 2 dessert came to $132 before tip. Definitely worth the money
