I am so surprised this place has so many good reviews. My personal experience and opinion is that this place is WAY over priced for what you get. Based on the price tag I was expecting a nicer dinner experience. We had a reservation for a later dinner 8:00pm. Our waitress within the first 10 minutes had asked us if we were ready to order dinner 3 separate times. First when we ordered drinks, then we ordered an app and then came over before our app was even out and asked again what we wanted for dinner. Just felt very rushed! The coconut shrimp app was good! For dinner my husband got a steak medium (and was very red and cool center so more of a rare cook). He said it was good but felt like maybe it was frozen and that’s why the cook wasn’t right? I got the Turkey dinner which was OK, the stuffing was good, the mashed were definitely not homemade, Turkey was dry and the peas had zero seasoning looked like frozen peas you get at the supermarket. It then took the waitress forever to check on us after dropping our food which is always frustrating in my opinion. We were done and waiting for the check before she ever checked on us! It was also very very hot in the restaurant and I am someone that runs cold and I was sweating!

My experience with The Whip was great from start to finish. Jim, the F&B Manager was accommodating from the initial reservation. On the day of the reservation, we had some issues with weather impacting our group making the reservation time. Jim was extremely accommodating and his mentality was clearly to serve his customers. Once at the restaurant, the service didn't skip a beat. We were taken care of right away. The food is high quality, the cocktails are amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful. All-in-all, I highly recommend The Whip to anyone looking for a nice dinner out in Stowe.

We came here 2 nights and had mixed feelings, the first night we came and had Kris and everything was awesome across the board. The next night we came and had Anna at first seemed nice however she was also tending to a large dinner party …

We may have ordered the wrong items. The wings were salty, the mussels were normal, and the best thing was the corn chowder. The restaurant is super busy even when they open at 5pm. If you get there by 5:05pm, you'll likely have to wait 1.5hrs for the next open table. Make reservations
