It was our first time here. We launched paddle boards out and enjoyed the flats, sand bars, and lagoons with the kids. We saw tons of mullet, a few reds, a snook or two, and a few small dolphins.

Thankfully not a very popular spot, this is one of the best secluded miniature boat ramps around.

Questions & Answers

Would it be ok to leave a vehicle hear a few nights while camping?

Probably not a good idea since its at the end of a dirt road in the woods.

Is it safe to park?

Hello. Theses spots are a little more secluded and often do not have parking other than dirt/grass areas along the path to the ramps. Mosquito Lagoon does not have any paved areas just dirt road leading to launch area. There are a few public spots near the drawbridge about 3 miles south of the lagoon that has parking lot, launch areas and more.

What does WSEG stand for?

Weapons Systems Evaluation Group? Kind of fitting since this is just north of KSC, Patrick Air Force Base and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station which controls the eastern range for missile launches.
