Such a beautiful peaceful place. My Grandfather was a PROUD navy man. I swear the first time I saw it it took my breath away it looks like it does on a TV movie. And I was so surprised to see my Grandmother's name on the other side they will always be together like they should

Very welcoming people on the first and last time I was there in 2019.

I called today (11-2) to check, and the row of flags will be up, but the next major thing they're doing with each grave is is wreaths across (for) America on Dec 15th, 2018. Hope that helps, belatedly.
I'm sure you can
Not performed at every service , if an honor guard is requested and they have a rifle team then a gun salute will be performed . please bear in mind if the rifle team does not have seven members a 21 gun salute Will be performed with the appropriate number of rounds fired.
Monday at 11:30 , but it would be best to get there early as there are usually plenty of chairs set up but people do tend to arrive early.
Yes we are having a ceremony for Vietnam on the 30 of March beginning at 10am please are 30 min early there will be limited seating so bring a lounge chair. We will have designated parking and gold cart assist for those that need it.
About 4 weeks depending if they don't make a mistake. It took them an extra week for my dad's.
If she is a vet, then yes you can reserve the spot next to her. If she is not a vet then you will just be placed in the same grave whenever your time comes. No matter what you will be placed together. If you have any questions the office can answer them quick and easy
You can go to the gravelocator online at m.va.gov on your mobile phone
There are no activities scheduled, the Cemetery is just dressed with the donated flags on the Avenue
A standard size urn is 10x10x8 and that will fit the columbarium
I'm sure there will. Check their website.
Natural flowers. There is water spigot in several areas. The staff removes any wilting flowers every Thursday.
We just recently buried my dad. The urn was the size of a standard vase for a bouquet. It was about 6 in dia x 10 in tall. My mom was not in the military, and can be buried in the same plot and they place her name at the back of the stone. If she were buried in a casket, they would move the grave to a location with larger ones.
Yes, stop by the visitor center at the Cemetery and enter your loved one's name into the kiosk. It'll print you out a map to their loation. You can also visit the website gravelocator.cem.va.gov to look it up ahead of time.

You can use the national grave locator at NCA.gov
I don't believe anything is scheduled for today.
Monday thru Friday only and not on Holidays I believe
There is also a columbarium for cremains if that is your choice
Yes flags were at every tombstone and by the niches, my husband's there in a niche
No charge for a veteran.
Depending on where you live the closest veterans cemetery in the Titusville Central Florida area is in mims . Google Cape Canaveral National Cemetery for the numbers and a voice recording after hours of the information that you will need .
yes but they may be closed on the weekend if the offices aren't open, not sure.
no I have not heard of them. I took the cremains to Cape Canaveral national cemetery and they did a beautiful service. I had placed them in a nice box that had a Flag design. After the service, they take them and inter them with a temporary site marker.
Cemetery is always open 7 days a week from sun up to sundown... Merry Christmas...
So far so good no flooding of any kind...
