This spot is cash only. That being said I was a few dollars short and Mr. Cahoon said no problem. Although not even a bite. Something for the kids to do just drowning worms spending time in nature.

Cool little bait shop, they have live minnows and a few artificial baits. Some tackle, can drinks and what not. There is a bathroom and you can rent boats with trolling motors. Conversation is the best part and of course, the magic tricks.

I couldnt rightly say I just go there to go kayaking on the lakes..there is a permit or one day pass that is 5 dollars or a year long permit for 40.wouldnt think cost of boat motor and battery be that much cause seen lot people renting them
I fish out of a kayak but you can call them. I believe its lake cahoon bait shop on pitchkettle. They rent John boats , canoe, trolling motors etc.
Yeah you can. 9.9hp and under only at these lakes. Just take key out and if ya have one prop cover that shows its disengaged. But not needed. Just keep gas trimmed up. 9.9 and under run on both lakes there. Look at pics. They show gas engines in water and being ran.
Usually around 630am but not sure if different for summer with earlier daylight.
You are able to fish from the shoreline but need to buy a pass to do so for adults in the party. You are able to rent a boat as well.
