We have a lockbox because mail around where I live is constantly getting stolen. We had a mail lady with blonde hair who we LOVED. She was replaced a couple months ago, and now it’s sometimes a male or a female delivering the mail. Almost every time we have mail to be sent out, we always put the red flag up, and the mail is never taken. BUT for some reason they think it’s okay to put the flag down and leave the mail inside. Talked to workers and manager many times and still no change.

This places is always closed, and the mail doesn't get delivered to your home till 2:00 3:00 sometimes after 5 for some reason,..when you do get help, employees are friendly.. hopefully things get better, today I'm wondering if the mail will be passing before or after last pick up, not good.

My son works for a post office and I see another side. It is a really demanding job. They often have mandatory overtime, sometimes delivering 12 hours a day. I am much more patient now that I understand what they go through. I hope this will help others be kind and patient with all postal workers.

A 55 cent stamp will always be worth 55 cents. Example; say if postage for a regular size letter is 60 cents and you put that 55 cent stamp on it you would still need a 5 cent stamp. Forever stamps will always be worth the current rate for a regular size and weight letter. Example: if postage stamps are 55 cents today and you buy them at 55 cents today and ten years from now let's say the rate goes up to $1.50, your stamps that you got at 55 cents ten years before will be good to cover that dollar fifty. Or whatever postage is in the future, forever.
Their pos system has a digital scale that is very accurate. It could be that it needs to be recalibrated but i doubt it. If you did the postage you're self at home, i would suggest taking it into the office in person next time. If you are certain about the weight of your package you can ask the clerk to recalibrate the scale. It's always best to go in. That way you can ask any questions before you pay for shipping.
Go down to the office with an ID, CDL or passport. I think military ID's work to. And a current bill or something that shows your Castle address in Atwater. There's an application to fill out and fees. I'm not sure what they but you can pay for 6 months or a year.
Go down to the office and tell em what happened. You'll need a tracking number. With that they should be able to tell you exactly where it was scanned delivered. It runs off GPS so it's pretty accurate. If it was scanned ad your door if may have been taken. In that case you would have to get a hold of the sender and have another sent out. Either way, it's best to go down there with the tracking number.
No need for a P.O. box. There is a cluster mail box that should have a space for you if it's one of those apartments.
